A teenager has been handed a cyber anti-social behaviour order (Asbo). It bans the 17-year-old from Norfolk from promoting his yobbish behaviour online after admitting a series of offences, including stealing a vehicle and possession of cannabis. He had posted comments and photographs on the Bebo social networking site glorifying his criminal exploits, police said. Appearing at Norwich Youth Court, district judge Philip Browning banned him from using the web to publish material that is "threatening or abusive" and "promotes criminal activity". The court heard a police investigation found the boy had posted photographs of drug-taking and made offensive comments against officers. PC Tim Chapman, of Norfolk police, said: "The comments on the Bebo website demonstrated his attitude towards offending, the community and the police."
When I saw the title, I thought this was about a teenager with an actual high tech cybernetic hand. The truth is more boring than fiction.
*sigh* What a nob for advertising his exploits online! Reminds me of a friend, or aquantance actually that stole a shjire council quad bike. He Rode past them and WAVED at them. By the time he rode the quad bike to the caravan park, the police were waiting for him.
Sometimes I truely don't understand the thought's that are going through people's mind when they are doing these kinds of things. Seriously how smart is it to post your criminal activites on the web for ALL to see? He must have been smoking the gunge when he posted that up LOL... Alright that was a really bad joke, but in all seriousness some people need to think about things before they actually do them. PS The filter that goes from my brain to mouth to stop certain things from being said is in the mail.... xxFrostyxx
Neither did I. I have to say though, whilst its good that they're finally taking action against this type of thing, its about time that they actually do something a little more than hand out ASBOs. They're not really having the desired effect.
I always thought that if teenagers seen 'ASBOs' as a bage of honor, then why not change the name to 'Gay ASBOs' or 'HomoBos.' Then i'm sure no Teen would want them.
Tut tut... a whole page of topic.. Tbh... Lemex... the statement about renaming the asbos was a little offensive.
