That moment when you're looking through the catalogue of upcoming books for the fall and come across Phallacy: Life Lessons From The Animal Penis "The author looks closely at some of nature's more remarkable examples of penises and the many lessons to learn from them" ....what life lessons can you learn from animal penises (Rhetorical question... I dont want to know lol! )
that moment when your favorite character jumps into action and saves the day . . . perhaps an "easy" piece of the plot, but hell it makes me jump with happiness every time! Heroes will be heroes and they make me feel good, even if I don't do anything!
That moment when a random string from your clothes flops on your skin and you do the freaked out dance because it could have been a bug. It wasn't. But it could have been.
I haven't even heard the entirety of the song Watermelon Sugar and I frickin hate it. I don't want to know anything else about it. It's stupid sounding. God damnit now I'm irritated. It's everywhere on social media and I just wanna look at memes, yo.
Sometimes you need something stupidly catchy on blasé days. Like "Barbie Girl" by Aqua(my nostalgic jam!)... Or "Jackie Chan" by those 3 guys ft Post Malone (song is soooooo stupid, and after i went on a 15min long rant about how stupid it was.... i bounce to it a little when it comes on the radio ) Just you watch, Watermelon Sugar will grow on you!
I primarily listen to radio out of absolute pure laziness. He gets me often...more often than I'd like to admit...
I'm happy to say, I have no idea what y'all are talking about. Advantages of never listening to pop radio.
Sure, but I get to hear most of them eventually if they're that good, and I don't have to listen to the new torturous earworm once an hour.
TMW you find a single signed hardcover book—one of those I bought five years ago for EUR35 and it's wrapped up with the rest in my garage—on amazon sale for EUR370 ! And the author won't release more; which means, the price will only go up. Think I'll wait until this one is sold and then put up my own copy. I'm not that in love with the author...
TMW when you see a dude rolling a couple of tires with expensive looking rims down the street very quickly... like he probably isn't supposed to have them.
That moment when you decide to go to the post office and buy stamps like an adult and end up on the park chasing dragonflies round the pond like a kid. (In fairness I did get the stamps first and also sat down on a bench to do some planning. Whatever. )
That moment when your book research leads you to a real life request for information from a foreign country and you're able to pass on actual, specific helpful information in a foreign country that you can pass on to someone in that country. I don't know if it will be helpful to that individual that was requesting the information but it did feel good to help out in some small way.
Funny story... When my dad was in the military, we lived in italy but not on base. Dad wanted us to live in the village. Our house was gated (us and 2 other families lived there... it was like a condo type of building). Well, dad parked his Mazda outside of the gate. Came back after 2 hours and the car was up on cinder blocks. I swear our downstairs neighbor was a gangster. He comes on out in a white sleevless t-shirt and tells my dad in broken english with this heavy voice "i get your tires back" By the end of the day, all 4 tires were rolled back into the gate
That moment when it's night time and you look out through the front door of your new apartment. The streetlights outside give the surroundings a whiteish look, and for a moment you imagine everything is covered in a fine layer of snow. This place will be absolutely amazing in winter, you think to yourself as you smile at the image in your mind. Then you remember that southern Sweden doesn't have winters anymore and that snow basically is a thing of the past, and your good mood quickly falls through the floor...
