That Moment...

TMW you read Jay Lake's Endurance and get to the point where Vajpai becomes traitor. You look at the name and realize, "Holy crap, that sounds like an awesome Sith name. Darth Vajpai of the Sith Lords." You then find yourself creating a fan fiction that is basically Star Wars as told in the Green universe with a OP named Selima, a Selestani who is based off of Luke Skywalker.

*sighs* If only this book were in my hands ten years ago, I would have actually sat down and wrote the fan fic. Too late for that now. Now I'm busy writing my own stories.

TMW you are still thinking about it, though.

Green: "She was seduced by the Temple of the Dark Lily. When that happened, your mother, the woman we had come to respect, was gone. You must confront her again, Selima."

Selima: "I can't do it. I can't kill my own mother."

Green: "Then she has already won, and this painful fan fiction that is absolutely not ripping off of Star Wars has come to a close, girl."

 

TMW your gal pal shares a picture on FB with some dude and the way they pose makes you go like, omg, she's got a bf, they look so happy together!!

... and then you read the caption. "Like a brother."

 

TMW... You feel a bit insulted by the actions of a fictional protagonist in a piece of fiction and you start to not like the protagonist as much as you used to. Geez, what's wrong with me?

 

TMW you want to give a kid (actually, multiple kids) a well deserved spanking, but you don't because... well, parents.

 

TMW the moment was actually 8 years ago, but you're curled up in a ball of embarrassment anyways because, and only God knows why, it just now clicked and your whole life is a lie.

 

TMW your USB stick, with your WIP on it, breaks. Thankfully I back it up in two other places but it was a good reminder not to get complacent about it.

 

TMW someone refers to you as 'an intern' (and you're their colleague).

 

TMW you wear heels to work instead of wedges, thinking you're not that busy so it's a good day to break them in. TMW you get completely booked. TMW your entire body hurts.

 

U Should Be careful. I'd stick to more than one saved copy.

You should work on that; put in the time n turn that persons perception around.

I'm so sorry, my guys made me promise not to make any horrible jokes today at work and it all kind of built up and needed a place to go...

 

TMW you never agreed with the word, "horrible" so sincerely.

• Goku and Co. from Dragonball Z rely on their anger/emotions to fuel their power.

TMW you realize that Goku and Co. would be Siths in Star Wars.

lol, don't worry. Goku's not a Sith Lord. He would go Super Saiyan and clobber Anakin into dust the minute he found out what Anakin did. Hurting children and pregnant women is a good way for him to go apecrap on you.

 

TMW you realize that anyone who's ever had a cold sore is infected with the herpes virus.

 

TMW you've been having a gassy/acidic stomach for 6 hours now and you are scaring yourself into thinking you've got a horrible illness.

TMW you try to write a deaf protagonist and find it a bit harder than writing blind ones. I am partially deaf. So yeah. :/ (my blind protags are laughing now, I'm sure.)
