    The Ads on this site...

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Nikita88, Feb 14, 2009.

Hey all, if you do a quick search for WL Children's Agency (or WL any agency, they have a ton of " subdivisions"), you will see that they are a huge scam. They charge for reading and editing, lead you to false hopes, and don't care about your writing.

They have also changed their name to get rid of previous suspicions they had.

    From WritersBeware:

"Since this company began operating in 2001 under the name Sydra Techniques, Writer Beware has received hundreds of complaints and advisories of fee-charging, editing referrals, and other questionable practices."

I know ads are just ads and WritingForums doesn't choose these, google does, but I do think members should be aware of this: especially new & vulnerable writers.

This has already been raised recently. Again, the presence of these ads should not be taken by anyone as an endorsement of the individual advertiser.

Better yet, become a Supporter, and the ads will magically disappear. :)
