Today's loaf - leek bread. The look could be charitably described as 'rustic', but the taste is pretty good.
The picture does a good job of hiding the weird knobbly end round the back, but yeah, the bake itself came out pretty well
Been experimenting with baking bread lately. It's tricky to tell what helps and what doesn't because there's just sooo many little things that can change the whole taste/texture of the bread, and you don't know when you've screwed up until the finished product is right in front of you. If anyone's got any good recipes, I'll be your best friend.
Does your husband like pie? If he does, that's enough. Eat it all yourselves. I make my own piecrust, always. The edges are ugly as sin and it usually explodes when you set a piece on your plate, but it's flaky and tastes good.
I made some cookies yesterday night. Yeah. Burnt frisbees with wtf-are-these-dots "chocolate chips." 11/10.
Sorta, just not as thick. They could've passed off for burnt UFOs on the history channel though. Could have the aliens guy talking while I hovered the things above some toy towns.
Don't have proof, but I baked cupcakes. I plan to do it again soon, but this time to slice them from the middle twice, the middle part dip into chocolate and make small hamburgers.
