Im an oldschoo FF fan (well i do like FF7), but call me stupid, but i think this one is going to have promise...well V13 looks interesting.... Bioshock 2......Id rather a systemshock 3.... God 2 wasa great game..
I don't know if I'll get Halo: ODST. I like Halo, but I think I might just rent it unless it's multiplayer won't be running along side Halo 3's. The only plus it has is 3 maps unavailable to Halo 3 players and I really don't play much Halo 3 online. Just an occasional system link. I think I'll just rent it play through single player and be done.
i am looking forward to nothing except Mass Effect 2 all the others are just fillers until that game comes out. otherwise riddick and the prospect of a new tom clancy game this year?????
everyone i know is saying it will be nonsense because of what happened with end war but i played the demo and can't get enough of the friggin thing. cant wait for its release.it feels great especially in assistance off mode.
Like you, I'm waiting for the new Final Fantasy games. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that a third Kingdom Hearts will be released for Playstation, two or three, just so long as there's another one. I wouldn't call myself a serious gamer, I just enjoy my RPGs. I've been meaning to try those Jak and Daxter games, heard they where entertaining, but haven't got around to it yet.
I have been a PC gamer for most of my life. I have only owned one mainstream console; an origional NES. My roommate brought his old NES with him when we moved here, and I was inspired to make DuckHunt! better. So I made a shotgun.
omg! i loved the cassette games! Duck hunt was hilarious....i still remember the cute dog collecting the dead duck behind the bush.....holding it out and smiling .....hahaha..it was an addictive game....
One of my favorite games of all time is Tales of Symphonia. It's got a long, complex storyline and an awesome combat system that rarely ever gets tedious. It was released on the Gamecube a couple years back so if you have a Wii then I recommend that you check it out.
Symphonia is abused for being a collection of RPG cliches. As someone who doesn't play an extraordinary amount of RPGs, I didn't really mind. I played it like an addict for about a year; since then, I've hardly been able to touch it . I still like it, but I don't want to play it.
All the Tales games are collections of JRPG cliche's XD. But the same is true of Anime, and the cliche's are why we love them. No one else can do corny over dramatizations and get away with it in the same way XD.
Tales of Symphonia is one of my favorite games of all time! It's where I got my username from. Kratos is such an awesome character.
Couldn't agree more. At the beginning I thought he would be the stereotypical mystery man, but his character evolved beyond that. He began to show feelings that he suppressed in the beginning of the game.
Honestly, I was more impressed by Zelos. A happy-go-lucky skin covering a troubled core... Not something I'd be able to do, personally.
Yeah, he was probably more deep of a character, but I just think Kratos is badass. TOS is so great because while it does have sterotypes and cliches, it puts a spin on them and makes them likeable characters.
Brother in law just brought a cool plasma....im tempted to buy a p33 or a 360 pro (with hdmi) and get a hdmi cord.... i don;t think i will, but damm!
I've been saving up for an Xbox 360 for awhile now (I have a Wii and PS2), but my mom really won't let me get one. Plus it's so expensive, and I'm finally old enough to get my driver's permit and eventually license so I have to save for driving expenses. But I really want to play awesome games like COD4, Bioshock, and Left 4 dead. So I'm thinking of getting a high-end graphics card that would be up to Xbox 360 graphics-level quality. Anyone know any good graphics cards? I believe I have a Radeon 9600 or something like that. I can play Half-Life 2 (my favorite game--see my avatar), but I couldn't play the Bioshock demo.
I prefer Nvidia cards myself. I find them more compatible with software than ATI cards (Radeon). I had a Radeon awhile back and some games just don't run well on them. The same is true of any hardware of course but I've had more trouble with ATI products in the past than Nvidia. You could get 7000 series GeForce and you'll probably be able to run any game on low-medium settings. Get an 8000 or a 9000 and I'll bet you can run anything. The GTX 200 came out recently. I'm gonna warn you though. You'll need some serious RAM. At least 1 MB of it. More would be preferable. You'll also need to make sure you have a good processor, at least a Pentium 4 but a Duo is better. All that will probably run you as much as a 360 if you need all of it. Some of the graphics cards are really pricy too depending on how new it is. Get all that though and you'll be able to run anything that's out right not. Half-Life 2 will run on almost any rig I think, provided it's not from the 90's. The good thing about Valve, is they're using a game engine that's over a decade old and they tend to make games that are very smooth on a wide range of hardware. Sometimes older is better .
How exactly do I check all that? Like what I have on my computer. We just got a lot of RAM recently, so I think we're covered.
The program CPU-Z will give you most of the information on your system. Otherwise, you can try going to your Start menu (by pressing the Windows symbol in the bottom-left corner, or the Windows symbol on your keyboard), then "Accessories", and finding "System Information", which may be inside of a folder named "System Tools".
I liked Kratos, but Zelos was my favorite. He was HEELARIOUS from the first time I encountered him. XD
I checked my computer's specs and here's what I have. CPU Speed 1.09 GHz RAM 2 GB CPU AMD Athlon Graphic RADEON 9600 DirectX 9.0c Sound Card NVIDIA(R) nForce Audio Free Disk Space 7.5 GB
That might be a problem. Some games need as much as 10 GB of space especially newer games. You're CPU may be too slow. A lot of games that come out these days need twice what you have in speed. Which Athlon are you using? At it's best you could only match a Pentium 4. They discontinued that series years ago, so your CPU is probably too old to play high end games. Radeon cards can be hard to denote because of the way their named on product boxes and the way a computer reads them. I don't know if what you have will work cause I'm only familiar with the names on the boxes. For example you're PC may read it as 7000 but the product's name on a box might be X700. And I'm not that familiar with Radeon cards that I'll know them by name). . EDIT: I found the listing for a Radeon 9600, and it says the card was part of the 2003 series of products. It's comparable to the 5000 series Nvidia cards, so it's definitely too old.
