I too have heard nothing but good things about it, which is encouraging Yeah, that kinda stinks, but the base game is only $20 so that's something!
Make sure you check out the gold edition! It lets you play as an Imperial (any faction) and gives you a free horse off the bat. Not sure if it's much more. I got it on sale, and don't quite remember.
Well ESO is having a free weekend on Steam this weekend, so I spent the last three hours downloading it. It took up most of what I have left on my 256GB SSD, and then when I went to play it it had to download another 60GB on top of the 80GB it already downloaded, and I don't have the space for that, so I'm not able to play it. Gah! Why does it have to be such a big game?
Playing Oceanhorn on my iPad. It’s somewhat of a Zelda ripoff, but it’s pretty good, in and of itself. The controls are a bit awkward, but you get used to them, and it isn’t full of microtransactions like some iOS games I could name.
Trying to do a play through of Fallout 4 on Survival Mode. I'm not sure if I'll make it, but here's to hoping.
Crash Bandicoot N'Sane trilogy is driving me N'Sane, especially the first game. My nerves are in shreds. I'm loving it.
Have to say, I'm loving Elder Scrolls Online, but what I'm not loving are the DLC and Crown stores. It seems like you have to pay to access half the dang game!
Yes, yes I would recommend it. I personally love it, though other people I know hate it because it uses a different skillset than most FPS games. If you've beaten the Original Marios, though, it's not nearly as hard as everyone has been making it out to be.
Dark Souls Remastered is really happening!! Apparently it's gonna run on Dark Souls 3's engine, which means the combat might be different, but I don't mind since Dark Souls 3 combat is actually better, being closer to Bloodborne... And it's gonna feel more like a new game which is the best us souls starved players are gonna get at this point. Can't wait!
I'm also excited for this! Though I hadn't heard of it running on the DS3 engine, that actually pushed my excitement more into "cautious optimism". I wouldn't say DS3's combat is better, since it speeds things up without giving the character the speed/mechanics to respond like you could in Bloodborne. I'd also be worried about the overall balance of the game, since every enemy encounter/boss/etc was designed around a specific speed. Still, wait and see, and since I already have DS1 on steam, I'll get it for half off.
I felt this way at first too, but not anymore. I played the games in order, so of course DS1's combat felt amazing on my first run, but e.g. when you can only roll in four directions when locked on in comparison to multi-directional rolling in DS3, it feels clunkier, so at the end of the day, as much as I adore DS1, I prefer the fluidity of DS3's combat. In this sense I'm not terribly worried about the change, especially because I got to experience DS1 with warts and all already. (And it's still my favorite game ever.) Well, they could do away with the roll spam of DS3, it's nigh on game-breaking sometimes.
Just bought Far Cry Primal - Apex edition from the PlayStation Store, £12.99. In the shops a pre-owned copy of the base game alone is £20 !
Been playing through both seasons of Telltale's Batman series. Probably the best serious Telltale titles since The Walking Dead. I'm loving the twists they've put on the continuity, while still retaining its distinctive feel. Your choices feel like they actually have some weight. Only bad thing is that I came in right after the second to last episode was released, so I'm stuck waiting a while for the conclusion.
Found a box of floppy disks cleaning out my parents place, so out of nostalgia I'm playing through such smash hits as Cross Country Canada, Planetfall, Zork, and Hugo WhoDunnit II.
Going to give Cities: Skylines a go when I've got the spare dosh. I like to play these God games every now and again, and it's nice for us console peasants to get a taste of these PC exclusives occasionally.
They put out content on a regular basis, and it is good quality. Just get a subscription, and you get all of that additional content, as well as inventory space for all of the mats you're going pick up in the game.
Yeah. I was on the fence about subscribing, but the content is good enough that I’m willing to support it.
