I'll take that into consideration. I certainly need a new plan to deal with these Frenchies and their prolific heavy cavalry.
After playing Assassin's Creed II, I have learned something about myself. Games that have collectibles are like crack to me lol. I simply have to collect everything possible.
Even the feathers? I tried to find them all without a guide, but had to give up before I got half of them. Then I had to follow a video guide on Youtube and trace the guy's exact steps searching for every feather, because I had no way to tell which one's I'd grabbed already.
I only collected them once, didn't bother to do it again when I decided to restart the game. The reward looks nice and goes perfectly with Altair's armor, but otherwise isn't really worth the effort. Especially since it makes your notoriety meter constantly full.
Haha no. I definitely did not go after the feathers, or the treasures. I did buy all the upgrades, armors, weapons, and paintings. I just HAD to make sure I had everything in the Villa lol.
The rockband with Skeletonwitch DLc is pretty much the best in the music style games. Still waiting for Opeth to appear in one. Anyone played FFXIII yet? My brother is buying it first chance he gets, I'm just curious if it's actually a fun experience. From everything I heard, it looks like the worst FF in the series since X, which was the worst ever.
I used to be a big FF fan back in the day, but I've been uninterested ever since X, which kind of killed it for me. My two friends from work got XIII and say that it's great, specifically the soundtrack. Which is interesting, considering that this is the first numbered FF game where the music isn't composed by Nobuo Eumatsu.
I stopped being interested after VIII, which was fairly enjoyable though I don't think they've ever done better than V or VI. Of course FFT is my personal favourite but thats just the style I prefer. I'm tactical like that. Though something has to be said about the whole FF line's soundtracks. They're all wonderful. Even the off shoots of the series have great music.
You guys didn't like FFX? It's been years since I've played it, but I remember liking the story a lot. Pretty sure I cried at the end. Never got around X-2, though. I was supposed to go to the city to pick up FFXIII on the 9th, but due to my train wreck fiances, didn't. I think it looks awesome though, I'm so excited to get it, hopefully by the end of the month. I really love the new battle system they developed for FFXII and they've added more to it for XIII.
I played the demo for XIII and it's okay, It's a lot different from most of the newer ones so I might end up getting it but I doubt it.
Ah, I practically live at a little forum based off of Tactics. I love that place. I always had at least one Ninja, and everyone knew Two-Swords. I personally have a thing for Lancers and a well-raised Calculator.
After my chemist is a master, I usually make him a lancer and give him throw item. He can take a lot more damage and survive this way. He also has a decent lancer-reach attack if he doesn't need to heal/raise anyone. I haven't had any interest in playing around with calculators for some reason. I was told that they are so good to the point where they make the game easy.
I don't usually take the time to master a Chemist, usually I just have them learn most of the basic stuff and the potions. Usually I have a monk or a samurai and their various healing qualities suffice. They're kind of hard to raise but if you take the time to and use them correctly, they can blow anything away. Actually, on the FFT:War of the Lions remake for the PSP theres actually a option in the PvP to not allow Calculators. I think. I'm almost positive. I could be crazy.
Ah, I've heard good things about the PSP remake. I hated the FFT games they made for GBA and DS. Well, maybe hate is a strong word, but they were vastly inferior to the original.
It's very well done. Very pretty, same good music, same storyline, nice extras, and way better translation. It's all old englishy. I like them, because its a fun little game to play and I don't even mind the different races and weirder gameplay, but the actual storyline is just. . . suck. No depth.
I've seen footage of the demo online, and it looked pretty rad. I don't think I've ever been so excited for a game in my life. Looking a some of the reviews it's should be stellar. The graphics alone will make it worth while to me. I'm a sucker for some epic CGI. Of course I've now probably inflated my expectations to such biblical proportions that I'm sure to be disappointed.... But I'll take my chances
If you're a graphics junkie, you will LOVE it, rory. When it comes to FF it's usually the story and gameplay that do it for me. Like in FF VIII, I HATED the main character. In fact, I didn't think too highly of the story at all in that game. Best thing about FF VIII? Triple Triad!
I dunno, I think you'll be pleasantly suprised with it. The game play was pretty nice from what little I experianced and it is beautiful.
Just ordered an alienware gaming PC. Should be here by the end of the month. I normally build my own computers, but since I'm using my employer's PC Purchase plan -(where I make small payments out of each paycheck on it) I have to go with a Dell. Lucky for me, Dell now seems to have a partnership of some kind with alienware- which is pretty much top of the line for gaming. Intel i7 920 (2.66 Ghz overclocked to 3.2) Dual 1.8GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 cards 6GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz No sound card, (not enough PCI Express slots) but it has integrated 5.1 so I should be fine. If I need to I can just hook in my old sound card if there's a regular PCI slot available. They don't show a picture of the mobo, so I have no idea. I am quite excited for this! My current rig is more geared towards studio work than gaming.
wow Lavarian your pc sounds pretty awesome!!! Dual gpu and an overclocked core i7 is more than enough for todays gaming needs! I have a compueter which would literally cringe in the wake of the one you ordered but still runs all recent games very well. Youre a lucky guy!
Okay, I need some tips for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. A squad on Xbox Live, which I usually lead, has sent an invitation to another to see who can hold out against an assault. The team that I command has a specialisation in stealth - my girlfriend is obsessed with machine pistols, when she's not using a throwing knife, and Domhnall is known for his use of the Javelin from long distances. The other four people use mostly silenced assault rifles, and tactical knives, and an assortment of flashbang grenades, Semtex, and resupply perks. The other team, however, uses riot shields and machine guns, and everything they can find which fires a lot of bullets and defends them. The leader has a riot shield, grenade launcher, and a blast shield. How exactly is a stealth team supposed to take them on? We use the map Quarry.
Have been looking at Alienware rigs for many a year but those prices are/were killers. (Even if they were beautiful/Powerful things) Sweet news though.
I need some help. I'm looking for a gaming PC, but the kind that I have in mind always seems to cost too much pre-assembled. Or maybe I just don't know what to look for. Regardless, I hear that making your own can seriously cut costs, so I'm thinking of trying that out. Thing is, I don't know where to start. The main game I'd be playing is Oblivion, so I'd prefer it if the machine could kick that game's butt. I'd also like it to be able to run games like GTA IV, though that's not as much of a priority. And that's all I have in terms of preferences. I don't have to have the very best; I just want something that will work smoothly on reasonably high settings for those games. Does anyone have any recommendations for parts to buy, and how much a project like this might end up costing? I don't have a limitless budget. Less than $1000 US would be great, but I can go over if I must.
