Then you haven't tried Super Mario 3D Land. The title sucks, but fortunately the game doesn't. I just wanted to try it, and before I knew it I was in World 2.
I haven't played long enough to really try the 3D, and there have been other great 3D-games. Pilotwings Resort was pretty nice and had great 3D. Same with Dead or Alive: Dimensions. Excellent game, if you ignore the fact it was banned here in Scandinavia due to child pornography. The first boss-fight was pretty cool, though. (though for some reason I was invulnerable the whole stage the first time I got there, so a boss fight against a boss that can't hurt me? Kinda a bummer.)
Coming to the end of Uncharted now...truly awesome game. Got a lend of Batman from a friend which seems really good as well. Then there's always Battlefield there to fall back on for a bit of online. I went for about a year never playing the ps3, but then I got a load of games all at once!
Good thing? I bought a house in Skyrim. Better thing? I was alone when I loaded the save today, so I went to Dragonsreach to find Lydia. Except she wasn't there. I looked everywhere for her, but she was nowhere to be found... until I went home again, and she appeared from one of the upstairs bedsrooms. Turns out she moved on with me. The bed says (Owned), and she has put stuff in the drawer. Nice. Guess I must be doing something right, after all. Even though I let her charge off into a bunch of enemies, then walked away... Edit: It's 6:30 in the morning, and I have so far played Skyrim 42 hours 15 minutes since Friday night last week. On three different characters, yes, but still. And that's not even counting the characters I made, but deleted after an hour or so. In reality, it's closer to 50 hours in a single week. That's a lot, even for me. Job? Social life? Outside? Heh, who needs that stuff?
I decided to roll an Altmer mage and journey to Winterhold. I mean really journey there, no fast travel allowed. I've discovered things I didn't know were there, fought a bunch of bandits, learned some dragon shouts even though I hadn't even talked to the Jarl of Whiterun yet.
Anyone here played Super Mario 3D Land yet? I have it and love it, but I think I found a severe bug in it. (the European version, btw). It's not game breaking, but apparently some of the Goombas in World 1 don't do anything. Literally, they just stand there. I can kill them, but they can't hurt me and never moves. Even if I try to push them away, they don't respond. Weird. Is this a bug? It should be, but some Goombas do move, and there are several that don't. Far too many for a simple bug, yet what else can it be?
I haven't had a chance to play through all of World-1 yet, but so far no Goombas have done that for me.
Hm... then it's a bug. Damn. Nintendo really needed a great game for the 3DS, and of course Mario can be trusted, right? He's their mascot, after all. So if the first proper Super Mario on 3DS is bugged... that's not good. It's still a great game, though. But it raises the bar for Paper Mario quite a bit, imho. It has to be flawless in every way. But seeing as how much I loved the last one, I'm not worried. (never played the two first, though. No idea why.)
<grabs your collar and brings you inches to my face> They're making Luigi's Mansion 2? When is it coming out? Tell me! Are they doing the "rescue Mario" thing from the first game? <--- Loved the first Luigi's Mansion. Mainly because Luigi was the hero for once.
It should be out early next year (I think they said February or March). But I am not sure about the rescue Mario thing. They have not released much info on the game. They had a couple 3D trailers for it on the eShop. You should see if they are still there. It looks amazing.
Sorry to tell you, but Luigi's Mansion 2 is old news. It's on 3DS, by the way. In case you didn't know. Anyway, they are also making a Legend of Zelda for the 3DS, and this time it'll be a brand new game instead of yet another remake. Resident Evil: Revelations will be out on 3DS in February or so, and takes things back to the start with pure horror. (the story takes place a while before Resi 5,though.) Mega Man Legends 3 was permanently-ish cancelled, Shinobi 3DS is decent, but not great, and Monster Hunter 4 is exclusive to 3DS. (Take that, PS Vita!) And speaking of PS Vita, it will connect through wi-fi and 3G on the expensive version and only 3G on the cheap one (if I'm not mistaken). The problem is 3G is really, really slow, and it will cost you to be connected. Really. You can even buy pre-paid cards in a store for it, just so you can connect to the internet. And the worst of all is that it will be released in two versions, as I said. The cheapest one will cost as much as the 3DS did when it was first released, and the other version will be even more expensive. It's ridiculous. The 3DS had a price drop for a reason, and now the PS Vita will be released at the 3DS' full launch price? And without any new features? (sure, it has touch screen, Augmented Reality and so on, but the DS and 3DS already have all of it. As I can see it, the PS Vita is more powerful, but the 3DS has two screens, has full 3D, better games, is cheaper and has -free- internet for everyone. You'll need wi-fi, but who hasn't these days? Even if you don't, you could go to a public place that has, like a school, library, Burger King, an airport and whatever. Way to go, Sony...) Fun thing? I told Lydia we had to go seperate ways for a while, so she said she'd go home. She went to my home. Weird thing? When I came home, why was she moaning in my bedroom? Do I want to know?
Just got my four piece Legendary Daedric armor set and two Legendary Daedric swords and one Legendary Daedric bow. I am also level thirty now. Fun tidbit: I have only left Whiterun one time to go buy seven Daedra Hearts at the College of Mages since I got the quest to go see the Greybeards. I have purely leveled by getting blacksmithing and enchanting to one hundred, haha. Now that I am fully geared I am ready to play the game finally after twenty-five hours of almost pure crafting.
I discovered that on February 7th, 2012, they're releasing for retail Fallout: New Vegas complete with all of its DLCs. Yep, just found a reason to replay Fallout: New Vegas again.
Steam just had New Vegas on sale for $8 with all of the DLC. In the last two days I got: Mass Effect Mass Effect 2 Fallout 3 Fallout New Vegas Knights of the Old Republic They came with all of their respective DLC for only $40 total off of Steam for their Black Friday sale.
It's tempting, but as long as it requires Steam, I won't even consider it. Personally, I think Steam is by far the worst thing that has ever happened to PC gaming. It has literally ruined PC games for me. I still play games on my computer, but I can't be excited about new games as I know they might require Steam, and if they do, I can't play them. The worst part is I've written Steam support at least five or six times asking why the client is a requirement, and I have yet to get a decent answer from them. They always tell me all sorts of random crap that's not even relevant. Not even that, but I did eventually get New Vegas as a physical copy. Then I got some mods, patches, screenshots and so on. Steam obviously refused to work (as usual), so I reinstalled it, ony to find the entire games-folder gone. Everything. All the mods, patches, screenshots, games, everything was all gone without a warning. That was the last drop. After that, Steam is banned from my computer for good.
Thankfully I have yet to have a problem with Steam. I am normally a console gamer though. So I haven't used it extensively. Back when I was a hardcore PC gamer I only played Blizzard games. So they did not require Steam.
Am i still the only one who still enjoys and plays alot of Halo: Reach? I feel like im the only one who plays it alot... i guess cause of the big titles like Skyrim overshadow it...
I have always hated Halo ever since the first one. Same with the Battlefield and Call of Duty franchises.
Going back to Skyrim, do you guys play in 1st person, 3rd person or both? I can't stand first person, and for once Elder Scrolls finally have a useful 3rd person mode now. Same with Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I went 3rd person all the way. (except in New Vegas the few hours I got to keep my mods before Steam decided to f*** it all up. I had a kickass gass mask that covered the entire screen in 1st person mode, but it didn't work in 3rd person.) Oh, and what do you think of Star Wars: The Old Republic? Yay or nay? It's out in less than a month. Sweeeeet!
I haven't played Old Republic yet, but I have been paying attention to some previews and people playing the beta. Apparently even the beta is near bug-free, and the servers are doing great. It should be pretty darn fun when it's finally out. Right before Christmas. *groan*
Why though? Is it cause it's game-play doesn't change that much? Well atleast they spiced it up in Reach and did something new with it. I understand why you hate CoD and Battlefield, it's the same thing every year. Halo has similar stuff but they change other things around at each title. But if it's not for that reason, that's ok. Some people just don't like FPS games.
