    BOSS: This kid's whacked out!

But yeah, I felt PO'd when I did that.

In the comfort of my stubborn little mind.
I'm a little disappointed with Saints 3, and I love those games. It just lacks the soul of the first two, particularly in terms of characterisation. I also hate the way the player is forced to do boring mini-games, unexplained, and how the main story line lacks the variety of the previous games. It looks cool in terms of graphics and character dress-up and all that jazz, but beneath that? Blegh. I am disappoint. Oh, and where the heck is Johnny Gat?!

    Skyrim:

Just completed the main quest, which I think could've been lengthened and the final boss more dramatic. Having said that, I play it on the easier modes, so...:p

I friggin' love the theme music though. My life in musical Skyrim-theme epicness: ♫ Dovahkiin! Dovahkiin! Tied the smelly binbag up! Dovahkiin! Dovahkiin! Ate a yoghurt for lunch! Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin! Let the dog out for a pee! Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin! Gonna watch Wife Swap noooooowwww.RAH! ♫ love it.

    Um..

    Spoilers concerning his fate.

I think he died on the airplane in the second mission.

Somehow fitting to play this one now; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLE_Jk5CMY4

As for me, I'm done with Skyrim for a while (60+ hours in one game is enough for a, uh, week), so I went and got Anno 2070 and Disgaea 4. I wasn't planning on getting Disgaea 4, and honestly didn't think it was out yet. But when the guy asked if I was looking for somehting, I just said Disgaea 4 for some reason. And how about that, he did have it in the back room, but hadn't had the chance to put it on the shelves yet. Lucky me. Suck for my spare time, but it's a price worth paying. :D

Let me know how Disgaea 4 is. I want to get it but I already have way to many games on my plate at the moment.

Disgaea 4 - the quick version? You are a powerful vampire, stripped of your powers, send to Hades to train penguins and love sardines. :D Longer version? It's a turn-based strategy-RPG, so the playing field is made up of squares, and you take turns to move. But it's really deep with a lot of strategy involved, and I'm not even going to try to explain it here. It's one of those "easy to learn, hard to master"-games, like chess. Except it's chess with team attacks, combos, skills, items, buffs, debuffs, experience for each unit and who knows what. :p Think about Final Fantasy, the advanced version. :p

The graphics are pretty good, though not that much better than Disgaea 3. In fact, the whole game seems to be very similar to Disgaea 3, so if you haven't played any of these games before, you might want a used copy of Disgaea 3 to see what it's all about. That one's excellent, too. And when you consider how long they last (more or less literally forever), sane people only need one. I have both. :p

    Johnny boy is dead, bro.

I personally think the customization is great. It's more expansive than the first and second games, I tell you what. The Protagonist isn't forced to do mini-games, you can do that on your own (and the Prof. Genki activity is always amusing to me)! I hardly rush into the story missions----I just act up in the city. The only complaint I have of the game is that it's short. Really short. Beat that thing in two days (this is without the constant free-roaming). And maybe the storyline could've have been more interesting----it just felt like another day in The Saints. Well, without the implied death of Johnny Gat. That aside, the game was fun and humorous. Did you know that they're already working on a Saint's Row 4? Apparently, "slow down" means little next to nothing to the producers.

In other news, I need to purchase:

1.) Assassin's Creed: Revelations (I am the biggest geek on this game within my suburban city)
    2.) Skyrim

And I'll probably just rent Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Johnny's fate have been mentioned in a spoiler. Perhaps not everyone wants to know that before playing the game... ;)

I was a big fan of Assassin's Creed 2, but Brotherhood felt too much like the same game all over again with added horses. Revelations is just the same game again, now with added bombs. Fortunately Revelations is the last game with Ezio (and hopefully Altair and Desmond.) I'm really looking forward to Assassin's Creed 3, but if I am to buy it, they will have to do something new with it. I'm done with Italy, and AC1 wasn't all that fun. Maybe set AC3 in Russia, like many rumors say? Or perhaps the American civil war? Either way, they could add guns. I'm sick of WW2, but what about an AC set in WW1? That would be fun. :) Or if you want to go crazy, maybe set AC3 a thousand years into the future and have the (female?) main character use the Animus to go back to the year 2400 or something? Sweet. :)

As crazy cool as it'd be to run around Tsar Russia, Civil War America, or even WWI assassinating enemies of the head figure, I think the game's gonna keep it centered around Italy/Middle Eastern pre-1700s.

I'm cool either way they choose. 8D

The Italy/Middle-Eastern pre-1700s setting was because of Desmond, wasn't it? Why not start with a new character in a new setting in AC3, yet keep the gameplay very similar? After AC1 and three AC2s, I'd say enough is enough. Much as I loved AC2, I don't want yet another near-identical game. :)

A new character in AC3, doubtful since Desmond is supposedly the one who is going to save the Earth from death, and I don't think they go that far before AC3. But if they do then it's time to concentrate on wiping out the paladins or whoever the bad guys are.
WW1 setting would suit well to AC. WW2 is too overused to be interesting. Cold War is again quite suitable, the paladins trying to start a war to gain more power and assassins stopping them.
Nevertheless, at one point all the action has to be in the present. Because, after all, that is what the assassins are working for, to change things for the better.

I wouldn't mind an Assassin's Creed game set in Stalanistic Russia.

Maybe Stalin is part of the Templars?

Dear God, now I'm wishing I was part of that game's development team.

Desmond could still be around, but even if he is "the chosen on" or something like that, it would be fun to play someone else. But it doesn't really matter if we play Desmond or not, as most of the game will probably take place in the Animus. And just because Desmond is male, it doesn't mean the person he/we control in the past has to be male, too. There's nothing wrong with Desmond using the memories of his great-great-something-great-grandmother. ;) And surei, it might still be the Templars, Paladins or something. But who said the all vanished in the pre-1700s? For all we know, Desmond could take care of the last ones in the present. AC3 could in theory take place anywhere. Uh, anytime.

Edit: Though come to think of it, the Animus lets Desmond control memories, right? So what if AC3 took place several hundred years into the future, and it turns out Desmond is a memory? Now that's a mindfuck. :D

    That is, indeed. ;D

But there shall be a new character in AC3, as hailed from the wikia,

The co-writer for the AC series stated that AC3 will not take place in WWII, so no worries there. One of the game directors also stated,

So Desmond might end his journey by AC3. Ubisoft also said, in 2009, that they didn't mind using a female lead. Anything's possible. Just like it's possible for the company to continue the series, even without Desmond. As they said, history is their playground. (I just hope, should they actually decide to continue beyond Desmond's tale, that they don't get dry.) All I know is...MY WALLET WILL ALWAYS BE FULL FOR UBISOFT AND EMPTY FOR FOOD.

Yeah, I know Revelations is the last with Ezio. They even call it the Ezio trilogy. Besides, AC1 has Altair, AC2 has Ezio. I'm looking forward to AC3, though I am a bit skeptical. If they "have to" release it before Dec 21st next year, how can they make a whole new engine, a new character, new story and all that without rushing it? (a new engine would be obvious. They have already used the same engine in at least three games so far.) And for that matter, I would prefer a main character that's different from Ezio and Altair. Those two were very similar to each other, and AC has so much potential to do whatever they want. Why do the same thing over and over? Guess we'll have to wait and see. :)

Oh, I just wanted to stress on the new character thing for AC3, not Ezio's or Altaïr's story (I suppose I could have removed the 'instead of Altair or Ezio' part of that first quote, pff). And I have no idea how they're going to manage the new storyline without rushing it, but like you said, we'll just have to wait and see. All the present news on AC3 is about the whole "new setting, new hero" thing, so I, too, hope that the new ancestor won't remind me of Altaïr or Ezio's personas. Gah, I haven't even purchased ACR yet! The wait is killing me, fucking hell.

Come to think of it, they are trying to get it out before Dec 21st next year, right? And it's a new character? What if the new character is a Mayan? It would make sense in many ways:

    - The mayan civilization lated from around 3000BC up until 1697AD. Well within the "Assassin Creed range".
    - Mayans had cities with around 100.000 people, so a mayan city wouldn't be so hard to imagine.
    - Bad guys? How about the spanish conquistadors?
    - Mayans are were not that different from Ezio and Altair, though with much cooler clothes. The looks would be different, but the gameplay more of the same.
(- or maybe we can play a conquistador in a mayan city?)
    - Not to mention the whole 2012-thing is based on the Mayan calender, which apparently is important in the AC-story...

I could definitely see the Mayan thing happening.

Since all fans know that the whole 2012 thing is very important, it makes sense; it really does. And a Mayan city could prove to be fun (just a big ol' playground of temples and caves and all that, haha). The looks may not be so different. Have you seen a Mayan face? I don't know, I think they could definitely make it so that it still looks similar to Desmond's other ancestors. Ooh, the clothes! That would be so cool! Can you imagine how the assassin's outfit would look? Dude, that would be insane.

But honestly, I'd say the Mayan setting is more likely to happen than a Japan setting, because...really? I mean, maybe for a new character that isn't Desmond.

I did a quick search for mayan assassin, and come up with this:

I wouldn't turn down a piece of that. :D Um... I mean... I wouldn't mind her as the main character.

As for the cities, there were mayan cities with 100.000 people or more. I think they had a bit more than "temples and caves". Hehe.

Pff, shut up! I really meant temples and caves for finding treasure and such, not the whole layout of the city.

LOL. Yeah, right---you'd probably just spend most of the game staring at her. But seriously, man, I hope Ubisoft takes the Mayan idea into consideration.

    But again, we'll see. :)

Yeah, of course there are more too the city than temples and caves. There are... um... roads. And trees. :D

Ever played Skyrim? You can create a female character and strip her down to her underwear. Just saying.

Haha, I'm aware of how an ancient Mayan city looked, thank you.

Skyrim's on my list of things to buy, actually. And I'm going to assume that you totally did not create a female character just so you could see her in her underwear. Naaah, you wanted to explore...the heroine thing. Right?

That's what I did. My character is a blind Breton female and, despite her youthful, vulnerable apperance, she can kick all kinds of ass from Solitude to Riften. Nothing is too much of a struggle with her.

Her hubby stays at home in Whiterun and keeps the stew going while she's out fighting all kinda hell.
