Playing through Dragon Age: Origins. It's kind of a grind, but I'm enjoying it till my bank account fills up enough to get Dishonored.
Why do you say that? Most gaming sites gave it good reviews. I was actually thinking of getting it this weekend, most likely for the 360.
It's horridly unoriginal, and the gameplay is bad. I mean, those game websites don't really rate on a game's quality, only on it's popularity. Go watch a review form an actual player or something.
I loved Dishonored. It was short, but made up for it with gameplay depth. The teleport move is broken, but extremely entertaining.
Yeah, that game looked awesome. Not every game needs to be Skyrim level (or insert any huge, developed game you love here). Sometimes I like those shorter games that aren't so epic.
Eh I prefer games that take a lot of thought into account, and you can RARELY achieve that with AAA titles like Skyrim, Mass Effect, Dishonored.. I will say the Total War series has been good, and I go to sleep always racking my brain on how to quel unrest in the Middle East, or what I'm going to do about Spain's hostility towards my allies, bla bla bla. The problem with these AAA titles, too, is that they are way too easy. Skyrim on Master felt like Morrowind's normal difficulty.
I hear you on difficulty- again, I loved Dishonored, but it was much easier than it should have been. If you haven't yet, maybe try Dark Souls. It isn't as hard as it's made out to be, but it does make you think more than most action games.
I just got Halo 4 and I love it! It is amazing. It's like it took the precision of reach and the gung-ho madness of 3 and found the perfect balance between them. The tweeks to the multiplayer system really bring it up to speed with games like COD too. There's alot more depth than ever before in that aspect. I haven't gotten through the campaign yet, but so far it's pretty good. It seems a little more focused than the previous installments.
Finally purchases Guild Wars 2 and I couldn't be happier. There are a few hiccups here and there, but besides that it is a perfect game. The UI is the smoothest thing I've ever seen, its visuals are gorgeous, and the combat and quest systems are fun, fresh, and interesting.
It's a shame nowadays that developers do seem to focus on just making their games more and more epic looking rather then epic feeling. Perhaps the problem is that we, the consumer, allow ourselves in general to be lead by media pressure and a flashy trailer. Then again it could be that some of us as a target audience are largely pessimistic about the nature of developers, believing that they are all hyping themselves up and that we, on some level, want the game to be disappointing to be proven right. Take Peter Molyneux and the Fable series for example! I loved Fable 1 and when Fable 2 was announced I was of the mind that nothing could go wrong with it and that it would outdo everything I had ever played. Of course I was disappointed but I thought "Hey, this could be way worse" and then I began eagerly awaiting Fable 3, believing that LionHead would learn from what went wrong with Fable 2 and make the third perfect. Once again Peter Molyneux hyped the game up by talking about all the innovation and genius that was being put into the game; this was when I clicked on. Peter was making the game seem better then it was and watching game-play only proved it. Then when it came out, for some insane reason, I went out and bought the limited edition for £60. I then played through until I had finished and could then say "Yep it wasn't that good". Once I had finished feeling smug I realised that Molyneux had managed to get me to buy the game anyway and that I was without a shadow of doubt an idiot. So I had a "Khaaaaaan" moment and then went straight to "Game" to trade it in and get something better. To this day I am so wary of buying any game that I have to argue with myself for hours before I even begin to start saving for it. So couldn't that desire to be proven right have affected others, perhaps even repeatedly?
Five months ago I packed up my stuff and moved into my new house. The xbox 360 was packed away and only a week ago I had unearthed it, gave it a dusting and a gaming binge whilst on a week's leave playing Max Payne 3. Loved it. Problem is now that i've completed it, what should I play next? I really enjoy games with a good story like Bioshock, Deadspace, Gears of War. Do you guys have any suggestions of what I should get next?
Ever play Mass Effect? Gameplay is good and the story and universe are really developed. Dragon Age and Assassin's Creed are both good as well.
I'm going to profit from Christmas and get me some 360 games. Have you guys got any idea? I've played a few demos and liked Skyrim, Kingdoms of Amalur, Mass Effect, Dragon's Age, Dragon's Dogma and Divinity 2: Era Draconis. I think from that list you guys know what stuff I like. Any ideas to expand my list?
I'm playing: 1)Assassins's Creed III -It's better than the previous titles,Has a great storyline, and great side missions, overall it looks great too. 2)Call of Duty Black-Ops II -The campaingne mode is great, the multiplayer modes on and offline are incredible, the Zombie modes are amazing and challenging 3)Tekken Tag tornument 2 -has a huge character selection, the biggest one yet they're not lying, I saw characters that I haven't seen in 10+ years, The storyline are great, the ghost mode is good, the online mode is an improvement over past games, I love the customization, the downside Heihachi Mishima seems to be at least forty years younger he looks like something from street figher now, the worst part I haven't seen the Devil and Devil Jin characters thant are in the demo, instead you have to transform Kazuya in battle the end result is the Classic Devil character with clothes it looks weird, and Devil is the same one from past games, these arent deal breakers though 4)WWE '13 -Major improvement over WWE '12, there aren't nearly as many glitches and it dosen't freeze for nor no reason like WWE '12 did, the roster is the yet saw guy I haven't seen in a while, they got got rid of the annoying backstage brawls in story mode, I like how they did story mode instead of one long story it's about six short stories all from the attitude era, Universe mode is amazing there's so much more to do 5)Resident Evil 6 -Single player story mode is great, Splitscreen story mode is not you have to squint to see the top or bottom screen for some reason they cut the size of the screen for splitscreen mode it doesn't fit over your entire tv screen it positioned in the middle if your screen with the top and sides cut out it's hard on the eyes
I am a college lecturer and I taught this guy... http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSyndicateProject he got me into mincraft.... damn the man... and my kids are now into it.... Diggy Diggy Hole!!!
It is pretty addictive... then you throw mods in there and it just gets way more addictive... I just recently discovered Mount and Blade while it was on sale on steam over the holidays. I like it, it's like some weird cross between age of empires and elder scrolls.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing on my PS3, but there are some times when it takes the mick with updates. I've had Gran Turismo 5, the driving game, for a couple of years. Around the start of last year it needed a massive update, and thanks to having poor internet connection it took around six hours when I finally managed it. Yesterday, it needed another one - between turning on the system and starting a drive around the Grand Valley Speedway was a break of seventeen minutes. There are days when I yearn for the simple plug-and-play days of the Megadrive and N64.
It's caled an Xbox 360 and Forza 4. I'll admit, i'll enjoy the day when i'm somewhat older and nobody understands all the loading jokes of old.
Hey everyone. So...they're totally re-making Zelda: Wind Waker for the WiiU. They're updating a few things, sharpening the graphics, etc. The style is still the same and all, but they're improving it just a bit from what I hear.
