Stopped playing Zelda after the original Wind Walker, I tried to give Twiloght Princess a shot but it didn't work out well. Still, Ocarina of Time is one of my favorite videogames.
I heard that too! Now I just have to wait for one of my friends to get a WiiU, and that game! They will have to forcibly remove me from their house... lol Anyway, just beat Fable 3 for the second time, managed to get the best ending! First time I played it the ending didn't go so well...
Does anyone else have a 3DS? They're *finally* making a sequel to Luigi's Mansion, which I've waited over a decade for. I'm very excited about it .
Just got my 3DS! I love it very, very much. Only have two games for it -- Fire Emblem and Harvest Moon -- and haven't regretted it for a second, which is unusual for me. So, in other news, anyone see the PS4 announcement? Excited, but kinda underwhelmed. The whole 'observing' your gaming and tailoring itself to predict what you'll buy next comes off as kinda creepy, including the whole social media aspect. Never been on the Facebook scene to begin with, so no interest there, I don't need people to know what I'm playing and what I've played in the past (or even watching me play). Otherwise, Watch_Dogs wowed me. Again. Not so much anything else.
Social media has been the trend for gaming for a long time. The PS4's integration to these systems sounds interesting to me. Much like Steam, it will involve an online store, be able to connect to social media, have a friend list, video chat, etc. The important thing to remember, I think, is that Sony has been making the Playstation a multi-media device since the PS2. Hell, I got my PS3 simply because it's an excellent Bluray player. As far as predicting what games you'll buy, that's essentially Google ads, or the Amazon algorithm that shows you things you may be interested in on the front page. It actually sounds nifty, considering there may be some underground indie games or low-key titles that you may not have heard of that you'd enjoy! Personally, the PS4 sounds like it's going to be a more complete package - sorta like bundling your cable, phone, and internet bills.
I'm good with ads tailored to my preferences, it's the downloading aspect of it that freaks me out (apparently it'll automatically download what it thinks you'll want so it will be ready to go). I don't need some machine making decisions for me.
It seems good in theory but horrible once you throw into the real world. Hopefully it has an off button.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. I'm so excited I can barely think straight. Of course, I won't be able to think at all when I'm playing the game, besides screaming internally.
I just got done playing Bioshock Infinite, and feel like I need to discuss it with someone! Such and awesome game!
I'm thinking of getting this game for my friend for his birthday. He's a big gamer and likes the Bioshock series. I've heard good things about Infinite, too.
If he likes Bioshock, I would go for it. Gameplay is fantastic and fluid, and the story is very original. Its execution is really well done as well. I don't really have anything bad to say about it except that I wish it had been longer.
Check out mah Songbird View attachment 4965 The Beachboys never sounded so good Which Vigors did you mostly use? I must say I felt rather overpowered with the combo I was using XD So wonderfully overpowered...except against the Iron Patriots those guys can go suck a @($#&#*)$! Also, I will admit that I shed a tear at the end XD
Sweet songbird! Beachboys acapella was amazing I really liked Undertow and Possession. I'm playing 1999 mode right now though, and Devil's Kiss and Murder of Crows is a fabulous combo. I didn't cry at the end, but it did put me into a medtative state for the next 3 days as I tried to decided whether it was an amazing ending or not. I finally decided it was amazing! Elizabeth is the greatest companion in gaming history, on par (if not better) than Alex from Half Life 2. (Iron Partiots are horrible X/)
Guys, I need a serious judging on a gaming decision. It just happened that I somehow scrapped enough money for one game and now I have to choose. And many have told me great things of both games, so I decided to ask here: Bioshock Infinie VS Far Cry 3. Can only pick one. Help me decide.
Bioshock... nuff said. You can get Far Cry 3 Later, get bioshock infinite. It's awesome. Or, if you haven't played the original Bioshock, get that now (you can get it cheap) then get one of the other games once you've recouped the 15 or 20 bucks.
I was Bucking Bronco then BIRDS (both upgraded) so my birds spawned MORE BIRDS, so many screams of agony ^______^ I never actually used undertow, I thought it was introduced a little late and by then i was in my health electricity birds routine. I had to draw myself a diagram at the end so it made sense in my head XD I decided it was awesome in the end too after I got over my initial -> highlight to see might be spoiler for ppl who haven't played ^__^ "Oh my god this is Inception all over again" fury. How good is she!! Best escort quest EVER. "I'm dangerously low on ammo." Elizabeth: Here! *throws gun* Me: Thanks! *tears of joy irl* Now if only other games would take this on board. I don't think I'll be playing 1999 mode. I actually suck pretty hard at FPS games and I think I'd just be dying too much XD
Bioshock for amazing story. Far Cry for pretty settings and rampaging shenanigans. Personall,y Bioshock all the way
I had the exact same reaction to the ending! Spoiler I was like, really?! Really?! I mean, they made it pretty obvious that Elizabeth was Anna, and that Anna was Bookers daughter, and I had the suspicion that he was somehow Comstock. But when they drowned him at the end, I was in shock. I hadn't seen that coming. Also, did you feel like the whole 'all these worlds' thing that Elizabeth said at the end was a commentary on games too? And, it also presents the question, was Booker another version of Andrew Ryan? Since he could use the Bathysphere when the got to rapture? Fascinating game though. It's raised the bar for story telling in games in my opinion.
Hey that spoiler thing is nifty! Yeah the ending did feel like a bit of an exposition dump for all the - what my friends and I like to label as - "the dumbs" who wouldn't be able to figure out the ending all on their lonesome. I think it's sad that games need to do this since lots of gamers can't infer or figure out what has happened from the game. A lot of games do it and I can't stand it, to Bioshock's credit they did try to do it in an interesting manner. Spoiler I was really angry with the drowning part initially, but when I thought back there were a few hints like when you first arrive in Columbia and you are baptised. I guess I was so angry because he discovers his other identity then BAM. Dead. He did say that he would "smother the bastard" but I don't feel like he got any closure, he didn't even get to say goodbye to HIS Elizabeth T___T That tore me apart. She was so sad when she asked him if he was sure, she knew what was going to happen and she didn't get to say goodbye either. Also I just wanted a clear happy ending, I find that no games now just have a happy ending which was the Inception rage thing they leave it ambiguous so we can make our own minds up but sometimes it would be nice if they just had a clear ending XD So him running into baby Anna's room at the end wasn't enough for me. After I got over that though I conceded in my mind that it was an amazing story, you're right about setting a new benchmark for story telling! ^___^
Spoiler I agree. And I wish that there had been a happier ending :/ But, all in all, it was an amazing game. Especially the story... What did you think of the Luteces? I thought they were a brilliant addition to the game, and their dialogue was hilarious, and perfect to break up the tension, while being slightly creepy at the same time. That scene where they're playing baseball as you ride the gondola was one of my favorite parts of the game. I forgot it was a game in that moment, I was so engrossed in the storyline.
Re: the happiness of Infinite's ending- Spoiler The post credit sequence implies that 'a' Booker survived, and only the Comstock line was killed off, as Comstock was the one who was baptised. It may be less than 10 hours long, but I'm hyped for Blood Dragon. I've been watching cheesy 80's movies in anticipation.
Pheonix: The Luteces were great! I loved figuring out what they have actually meant (in their dialogue) after I progressed through more of the story, but you know one thing I never figured out about them: Spoiler do you think they killed the lighthouse keeper? I'm assuming they did, but it seems strange because they were mostly non-violent throughout the whole game I wish I knew more about Songbird too, hopefully DLC may touch on him \o/ Agreen: Spoiler Oh yes, I don't deny that 'a or several' Booker/s survived, I was just bummed that my Booker didn't and while he does exist in different planes I guess I attached myself to that particular one. Also I don't know if baby Anna is in the room when he rushes there in the ending sequence. I'm assuming she is there because Booker destroyed all of the Comstock lines and thus Anna would never be taken.
