The major turn-off in TP for me was the fact that Ganondorf was kind of just stapled onto the end of it. It seemed like they didn't originally plan to include him at all and then changed their minds when it was nearly too late. A pity; that was the coolest-looking Ganondorf yet, I think. Call me crazy, but I'm glad they spared Zant from the fate of being yet another "Evil for the sake of evil" kind of guy.
I loved the creative design of TP. The new obligatory annoying navi-like companion was no longer a an annoying navi-like companion, but rather a complete character. The dungeons were incredibly well done. I loved riding around in the field. The new weapons (chain and ball, sword combos, air boomerang, the thing with the statues) were superb. The villain was actually somewhat creepy (nothing like MM, though). But they answered too much... It didn't leave enough room to make crazy theories, but that's just me. I loved it. I knew they couldn't make a Zelda game without the main villain. The story of TLoZ (no particular version) is the struggle of courage and wisdom versus power. Taking the god-like immortal antagonist out of the game would have angered the fans that weren't angry about him being there. All in all, though, I think they should reconsider the main story. How about Zelda allying herself to Ganon? How about Zelda being the main character, having to retrieve the triforce of * from someone who didn't deserve it? How about Link going "screw-it", sealing Ganondorf, betraying Zelda and the rest of the game is Zelda trying to rescue Ganon to take down power-hungry Link? How about Ganondorf being just a side character, someone you can get a quest or two from and NOT the main villain? So many things that could be done... TT_TT
I loved Midna. I hope her character becomes a staple supporting cast member in the future, like the typical Zora prince/princess, Goron chief, or Epona.
I played MM, WW, TPH, one of the GBA ones, and TP, although the only one I ever finished, and my fav, is Twilight Princess. Never played OOT. I know, shoot me.
Homeworld 2 Complex Mod. I love this game! http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/5539/ss00001j.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6673/ss00027.jpg http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/1015/ss00032.jpg http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/9605/ss00034.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/8229/ss00039.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/7208/ss00043.jpg http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7450/ss00047.jpg There's something VERY cool in that last image (and the one before it). Points to anyone who sees it. Does anyone else play this truly EPIC game?
Assassin creed ..killer game....i love POP too.....yes both are similar.... I love Need for speed..but i'm terrible at it....my all time fav. Pac man and Mario.....i used to play contra and street fighter... Me and my brother challenges each other playing mortal combat.. And i had this addiction playing Age of empires.... till my brother pulls me out of the chair saying that it's his turn....I love age of mythology too and "red alert" i couldn't play Quake3 because i get nauseated. Max Paine too hard for me, Hitman was good but didn't finished.....I don't like far cry! Gosh there are so many......a long list actually.
I need to get another 360 Their are so many great games i'm missing out on since my last one broke. I can pick up an arcade (i could attach my HDD to the aracde, so i dont need a pro), with 5 games for 300AU.....OMG Or buy my first ps3 for 688AU (With one game)
Get the PS3. You won't regret it. I swear that machine is as close as an inanimate object can be to a deity.
I was being sarcastic The 360 has a million more games on it that "I" prefer and cost much, MUCH cheaper. The ps3 would be a doorstop after i complete the only game i want o it (Formula One, old i know, bu its ace). When sony decides to drop the price, i'll consider it.
Well, I won't deny that your sarcasm when right over my head. I nearly worship my PS3. I blew an entire month of pay last summer to buy mine because someone told me they where going to stop making the 80GB kind. Not sure if it was true but sure am glad I bought it. Who needs to eat anyways, right? There is a sorry collection of actual PS3 games right now, at least not the kind I am interested in. I'll just play my Playstation 1 & 2 games till something I like comes out. Each to their own, I suppose.
See sony put a nail in its coffin for me when they didn't put backward capability (unless it's only a Pal thing), Thats a sin in gaming these days if you ask me. I thought the psone was a gaming god though, so its not a sony thing. I guess i just enhoy killing stuff (getting out of my normal caring personality). And Mircosfot have a hateing machine their when it coems to killing things Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy Vurses 13 will be my weakness though....
It's true. Discontinuing the backward compatibility was probably the worst thing they could have done. I lucked out and managed to acquire one that does work with my PS1 & 2 games, at least all the ones I've tried, anyways. In fact, I don't own any PS3 games except the one that came with the console, but which I will never play. I heard that the whole point of cutting backwards compatibility was to try to force game makers to put games out specifically for the PS3, but all it really did, I think, was destroy a huge chunk of Sony's fan base. Maybe they'll get their act together one day and redeem themselves. And put out an amazing shooter game you.
One think sony has on its competitors is "long term" Look how long both ps1 and ps2 (the later still producing gamez)...And i think people are picking up on it. If Microsoft had no games on it, it would probably just fail. But i think i lot of people have confidence that sony will eventually do something....Which i hope the do. I wish they would do something with the psp though. Its such a great device, yet it's really being wasted.
The game would have been free, can always ebay it if it wasent opened I reemnber getting street fighter the mvvie game with my ps1, it never left the plastic. I think its worth 25 cents now.
No way. I had always bummed the use of my sister's PS2, never owned my own, so now I can play all my games on my own system. Plus it can store pictures, music, plays blueray, and can sort of surf the net, among a plethora of other things. One day I'll buy a PS3 game, when they release one I want, and until then I will use the other features. I know some PS games let you use the PSP as like, another screen or something. Shows the mini map or something along those lines. I only heard about it in passing. Maybe someone else can shed some light. Also heard that some sort of Kingdom Hearts game is supposed to be released on PSP, but again, only heard about it once. The game my PS3 came with was free, but I did open it. It was wrapped up and I got so excited I unwrapped everything with plastic around it! I couldn't help myself. I think everyone understands how much I adore the PS3, so I will shut up now.
Is it weird if I was to say none? Unless they make Homeworld 3. Which is less likely then me removing my tongue with a spatula. What games are coming out worthy of looking forward to?
Hmm, let's see... You have Resident Evil 5 coming up in the near future. Further off than that there's Prototype, Mass Effect 2, a couple of Shin Megami games, Bad Company 2, Patapon 2, the new Riddick, and I hear Bayoneta is looking nice. Exclusively for the PS3, which seems to be getting so much inexplicable hate there's, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, and Infamous. The PS3 is a great system. Sure there aren't as many games and it's more expensive, but it really is the better system. Don't get me wrong, I love both my PS3 and my 360, but the 360 hit the roof graphically with Gears 2. They haven't even scratched the surface with what the PS3 can do. Just look at its exclusives. The 360 could NEVER run games like Metal Gear 4 or Killzone 2. The space on Blueray is insane... which brings me to the point that it has Blueray. And not only Blueray, the PS3 comes with free online play, free wireless, and no limited hard drive gimmicks. The 360 charges you $50 a year for online, $100 for wireless connectivity, and between $60-$200 to upgrade your hard drive. It doesn't die as easily, (By my count, the 360 has had three motherboard changes to fix problems that should have been settled at launch.) and it's going to last you a lot longer as far as system life goes. Heck, they're still putting out games for the PS2. Gawd, I'm such a geek...
lol penny, how much does sony pays you for advertising? Joking, really. I don't have any games in my watch besides Halo Wars.
I love how there was no sony hating, only me taking a very very small shine off sony and someone has too come in and preach its brilliance.... this happens all over the net too.. i don't get it. A;lso you can yet a years live membership for for 25 bucks, and thats Australian. The only game im looking at this year is FF13 and FFV13 As you can see, im not looking at much. Riddick will be a great game, its from the guys who did the previous one and The Darkness. Their ace.
Irrelevant from a gaming stand point. Blu-ray and HD DVD formats aren't all that different in practical applications (Blu-ray is indeed massive storage wise, but honestly, it's so big no one would ever need that much space in practical applications. Heck, for practical applications, DVD formats were large enough XD). Blu-ray didn't even win because of the specs, it won because of the two it got heavier support from the business that mattered in the war (movies). What is it with people and "this system can't handle this game" statements? The Wii could run both those games (and yes I know you'll refute that statement but it's true and I'm saying it anyway). What you mean to say, is the "360 can't run with those graphics" which is also untrue. I doubt the Wii could run either at the graphical level it's competitors can run at, but spec wise the 360 and PS3 are mostly on equal footing. And game one of the systems can run, will run on the other with little more than the changes necessary for a different operating system. Note: The above is not a fanfolk statement. THe above is the words of a computer science major who doesn't like it when the wonderful art of computer science gets brought down by unintentionally untrue statements . It interests me, but right now I just don't want to spend anymore money on games. I have spent enough in the last two months already XD. I think the only games coming up that really catch my eye are Mass Effect 2 and RE5. I'm pretty sure that the new Riddick is just a remake of the previous game for the 6th generation. I don't put out money for remakes unless I really really liked the original. And though I liked Butcher Bay, I didn't like it that much that I'll buy it again with upgrades.
Lol, I work on the retail side of gaming. It's not my ideal job, but it keeps me alive in-between (hopefully) education and a "dream job". I get used to rattling off the facts and numbers - but Sony really is the better system technology wise. 360 has the bigger library but ends up costing you more depending on your needs. To be honest, I usually hear more "360 sucks" rants from the people I speak to at work. I'm used to working defense for Microsoft. The only system I have any hate for is the WII - most dumbed-down system ever... but great for kids and parties, I'm sure. Halo Wars is out where I live. Next up is Halo ODST, formerly Halo Recon... I also have Halo hate. And Square hate. I feel like they've betrayed me as a fan of good RPGs... ::sigh:: I miss the good ol' FF days. Forgot to mention Bioshock 2 and Alpha Protocol - I'm really looking forward to those two as well. Big Daddies. Edit: Gah with the slow internet connection vs. speedy posting. I really don't know how to respond to that. I suppose I could pull up the stats, but that would take time and a half-decent internet connection. There's a world of difference between the systems. You've got PS3 THEN 360 THEN, quite possibly, several other old school systems before the WII. All right, that last part might be untrue, but the WII is very weak when it comes to gaming graphics/AI/ect. Just look at one of the ports. What was once 100 zombies coming at you in Dead Rising is now 20. It's good for getting you up and active, but the WII will never ever be playing MGS4. Back to Blu-ray (my bad with the misspelling ^-^ - MGS4 actually had to remove content to be able to fit on one disc. You had to install each chapter of that game. It was gorgeous. Sure the 360 could dumb it down. Any system can dumb anything down, but you're losing a huge chunk of quality. Note: I don't have a degree, but I do have a paycheck and every next-gen system with the exception of the WII. That's got to count for something, right? See what I did there? Totally adorable with the "note" at the end, right? It's all in time-wasting fun; no offense intended. Now I'm going to post and see just how long it takes from when I click "save" to when the text actually shows up.
