hahaha, good job! Enjoy your laptop. Treat it with care and it'll last for a long, long time. As for me? X-mas is tomorrow, I'm with my family and recently I caught Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls on TV.
We told my younger siblings that we weren't able to come down for Christmas, then drove down last night. My brother snuck us in through the back door, we walked into the room that everyone was in, and it took a minute or so for them to notice that we were standing there. And then pandemonium broke out.
You know, for Christmas being my absolute least favorite holiday, this year isn't very bad, surprisingly. Not the best -- it never is, and hasn't been for a while. But it's not too bad. And that's all I can hope for.
My kids in Honduras had a good Christmas, and that's really all I needed to have a good one. The only way this could be better would be if I could hear about Gershon, Jesus, and Karen.
I know only one person who thinks like me. And he's my brother. And he's home. And he talks to me about everything. He makes me so happy.
Just ordered my new derby skates! Awwwwwyeah! Now I just have to hope that they have it in stock so it gets here in time for me to break them in before tryouts on January 5th.
All of my family is gone this morning leaving me home alone where I have spent my morning listening to my new "How to Train Your Dragon" soundtrack (I'm absolutely in love with that movie) and watching the movie "When in Rome" which I also now love
Ah, How to Train Your Dragon... Natalie: *pointing at screen excitedly* "His name is toofwess!" Me: "Yup. Every time too."
Our new computer is finally, FINALLY set up!!! This means that my iTunes library is finally accessible, and I can buy albums and songs again!!! I instantly started replacing all my Beatles albums that I burned to iTunes from the CDs to the iTunes versions (using my Xmas iTunes giftcards). I've replaced them up to Rubber Soul.
I recently passed both my IT exams and it feels like the proverbial 'huge weight is off my shoulders'. Starting as CAD operator at a small company here in my town next year, super excited.
YEESS! I just knew there had to be a released soundtrack for that movie. Ooh, guess what I'm going out to buy today! That music is so epic and I love the almost Celtic-like sound to it. Thanks Yellow for telling us. Aww, Lavarian, that is too cute!
I'm happy because Karma loves me. My Co-worker who does no work got a salary down size and my boss gave me a raise of $1.75 an hour!! Not a whole lot but it adds up to about 600 dollars a year more for me.
Woohoo! Congrats, dude, that's pretty sweet. I'm hoping karma catches up with some of the people at my store the way it did with your coworker...
I'm going to the Frost electronic music festival in January! I'm so excited! Steve Aoki and Infected Mushroom, hell yeah I'm there! I've also been invited to the much larger and better Ultra Music Festival. It's expensive and in Miami, so I don't know if I can afford it, but I would be getting a huge discount (more than 50%), so I don't know if I can pass it up! Haha I'm so happy that I've found my EDM family. Sosososo happy.
Hooray! First piece of coursework finished! 3,000 words of hell over and done! To celebrate, I wrote half a short story this afternoon and then wrote a rare bit of silliness for my blog about Greek gods. Which was tremendous fun to write (even though it wasn't very good).
I got to go to my favorite hotel -- the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells -- with my mom and younger brother & sister for Christmas break. We're leaving today, but it was so much fun. And tomorrow, I get to have my New Year's party with my friends!
