Is it bad that this just made me laugh my ass off? Probably.

Totally finished our entire post-holiday set at work today. Booyah. Two days early.

I was at the gym tonight and I did my first ever 135lb power clean! I failed three attempts about 3 weeks ago but nailed it this time. New personal bests always feel great!

I had a lovely day yesterday with Ashleigh, celebrating our two year anniversary by doing very little, then going to an awesome veggie restaurant in the evening.

    I love you hunny :)

I finally solved an issue with one of my storys. The story was inspired by an episode of Hey Arnold, the one with the Stoop Kid. I had written the story but there was one thing I couldn't quite resolve about it. Why would a small child be on a stoop for all to see on what is supposed to be an abandoned building? Surely a parent or teacher at the nearby school would have noticed her. Then there were smaller details and the ending. Until a few moments ago, and I am not even sure why I was exactly thinking about the story to begin with, I figured it out. To those who had read it I had no real explination for her being there. I mean I could give a reason... but not the right reason.

But now I do have that reason. The reason was hidding in the details. I just had to find it.

It all fits. Well I need to make a minor add on. But I finally figured it out.

    :D

Link the Writer: Yay for your watch fitting. I have a watch but it's too big for my wrist so I never wear it, or on the rare occasion I do it slips down to my elbow. :p

Unit7: Hoorah for solving the issue with your story. It's great when that happens.

Speaking of stories, I decided to let my characters write letters to me (as in I write them to myself pretending I'm one of the characters). I think I'm actually getting to know them a bit more.

Just now, one of them had a very angry letter to me. I guess he really needed to let it out for quite some time now.

My dog survived the night. At this stage that is all I can ask for. I was out of the state for the past week, so I am grateful that I was able to make it home in time to be with her during her last few hours / days.

Caught my first Flathead of the summer. When i say my, i mean Joanne did. A nice 20 inches. It was her first, and she was so pleased.

She also caught a 20 inch Leather jacket, but we tossed it back.

Kept the Flathead for my pop, who cut it up straight away for dinner. It was awesome seeing him enjoy it.

We caught it in the lake, which was unexpected. The lake has been blocked for years, and only recently got re-opened to the ocean. Been 2 years, and looks like the fish are coming back and growing nicely.

We did get a Great White Shark in there last year, so good signs.

Woke up with a fresh idea and the motivation to write it down. I'm also happy because after my husband finished reading a novel last night, he turned to me and said "that was good, but you are a better writer than her". That makes me happy. :)

I'm on track to be my college's first A* student in film. That makes me a little giddy. Sociology and English expect me to get A*'s too. I like people telling me I can do well.

Also, my mohawk is bigger than my friends. That's always a victory.

I'm far too cool for that.

Nah, I already have pads and a helmet, but the new skates are coming with upgraded gear. Safety is sexy. ;)

Wow, congratulations! Weren't you pretty nervous when you first went back? It's great to hear that you're doing so well! :D

I spent today canvassing for the local bye-election in Windsor, with the lovely people at the Windsor Labour Party. We handed out a whole load of flyers, and even panicked the local Tories enough to get them out flyering. A good day handing out flyers, followed by an hour or two in the pub :)

Sounds a good day to me! Is the 1p membership of the Labour party still on offer, btw?

Been a good day for me. Watch Town win, results go our way in other games, then find a few things I can actually use with my Law and Literature coursework. If I get a full day in on that tomorrow, I'll be able to get the back of it broken.

Yup! 1p for a year if you're under 27. Lasts until May, I think, but the sooner you join, the sooner you can get stuck in. Not that I'm recruiting or anything...
