Oh my god. I have SO MUCH HAPPY right now it's not even funny. Next week is my 21st birthday. Finally. 21! August: I'm going to apply to test for the police academy. One of the best things about being 21. On the 20th of May: I'm going to visit my lover for the first time in a long time. I miss her so much... I miss those gorgeous blue eyes, thick luscious hair... That cute, bashful blush when I call her my "baby girl". I am also going to see Rammstein on the 20th with my lover. Our tickets got RANDOMLY SELECTED TO BE UPGRADED TO BOX SEATS!! so we have BOX SEATS to RAMMSTEIN! God I am so freaking PUMPED, you have no idea!!!
I just love reading all of everyone's great news! I've got some news to share too...as of yesterday, I'm officially out of high school. Completely done. Finished. Farewell physics and mathematics!!! My parents surprised me with a graduation present too, an iPod Touch! I wasn't expecting anything at all and literally cried. So happy! Btw, I love being able to now get on here at times when I should be sleeping. Stayed up until 2:00 am and got eye strain from it.
Sent off a story last night and wrote about 3k on the novel today. Might get around to doing some more later, but I've reached my target for now. I'm feeling really positive about this one. Yippeee!
Now I am happy too. Does this mean that Leila Scarlet might make a reappearance? A witty character is sorely missed in the orb of pyritus.
Ooh, which countries exactly are you going to visit? As for me, I'm kinda sad it'll be Monday again tomorrow, but I've really enjoyed today. My friend invited me to a May tree planting, which included folk dancing as well. I can't dance at all, but all the guys thought they had to ask (force ) me to anyway, so then I did, and it was extremely fun. For the Pride and Prejudice fans out there- the dances are similar, and I felt just like Mr.Collins messing it all up. Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention that I ate pie today.
Well I guess I don't mind them that much, but I know I'll be terribly tired by the the time it's evening tomorrow.
I am happy because it is officially the end of the world. Blizzard's long awaited video game has finally been released which marks the end of days. Tremble in fear. Diablo 3 is here. Blizzard takes so long to make a new game that for a while my friends and I had been thinking the end of the world would come before we'd be able to play. As some may hear cry, prophecy is nobodies fool. Perhaps the "end of days" is a different sort of calamity. The days will end and give birth to endless night. I may never see the sunshine again, opting instead to stare at my monitor and play this wonderfully terrible game all night.
FINAL GRADES BACK!! Art History II- A Survey of Islamic Civilization- A World Lit. I- A Modern Ireland- B GPA: 3.11!!
Congrats on the good scores, Lemex and Link! On that note, I just found out that I'm scraping by in my history class with a C. It's actually a pretty impressive grade, considering I miss that class almost every single day, and the teacher doesn't acknowledge me at all even when I do show up. Also, sudden breakthrough in my story, aww yeahhh.
That's amazing, Link! And well done to you too Lemex. I'm happy because I'm presenting my novel in 3 parts and I just finished the first part at 29k. Yay! I'm not editing it yet, though. I'm going to use my usual technique of blasting ahead 'til the finish, then revising once it's all there. If I did edit the parts, then I'd just convince myself it was rubbish and never carry it on. So, anyway, yay!
Congrats, Lemex and Link! An anthology fellow uni students have created to showcase our writing went live online yesterday and I can't wait to get a copy of it at graduation! ;D Half wish I submitted something better for it but ah well. Also, last uni deadline today! I'm not happy with it and I know I won't be even after I try and edit it (deadline's midnight thankfully), but still. It'll just be a relief to have submitted everything.
Other happy info! 8D My boss at my volunteer job at a children's library center has asked me to come a whole week this time, instead of the once a week like I used to. I will learn how to catalogue books! So far, I now know how to check in/out books, shelf books, and inventory books. I am learning a lot! She even said that I am welcomed to come back next semester! So happy! EDIT: I also borrowed three books from my university library to read over the summer: Eamon De Valera by Tim Pat Coogan. The Sick Man of Europe by Charles Swallow. Grant And Sherman by Charles Bracelen Flood. I shall enjoy reading them all!
Congratulations Lemix and Link! That is fantastic! As for my recent good news, my brother has been practicing piano lately. A bunch of old show tunes so that we can sing together again.
I'm leaving to Germany as a foreign exchange student for a whole year in September I got an email from them yesterday confirming that they've received my application I AM EXCITED!~
Congratulations! You must visit the palaces of Bavaria while you are there, and go to Ulm to climb the steeple of the Meunster, a gothic cathedral of epic proportions. I used to live within walking distance of there. I also think, although it is not a fun trip, that a visit to one of the remaining concentration camps is important for anyone visiting Germany. It's a sobering reminder of what happens when tyranny is allowed to reign free. I was there at age five and I still remember our tour as if it was yesterday. It has formed me into the person that I am today and caused me to be ever concerned with the welfare of others.
My hairbrush is finally clean and the front of my shirt smells like soap. And I got a high test score yesterday, and my brother's mortarboard is actually being flattened at this moment by three extremely large dictionaries. (Finally found a use for them.) The thing warped when I glued it. And it's warm here. The universe is smiling on this Saturday.
Almost finished painting and furnishing the new study... should be a great place to sit down and keep the concentration to write...
I am really enjoying Eamon de Valera by Tim Pat Coogan. Choosing to read this was one of the best decisions I've had in a while, and I'm usually a guy who makes rash decisions in which I regret later.
I'm so happy about the progress I'm making with my new WIP. I'm also pretty proud of my story-weaving, and this feels just so much better than my first novel. I still love my first novel, don't get me wrong, but I'm worried it suffers for being the "first". I can't wait to read this through. I'm over the 40k mark now!
I've realised that I actually like some of my novel. ;D Good thing too as I'm trying to perfect the opening so that I can submit it to a competition. Quite excited about that, even though I expect I won't be shortlisted but hey ho. First time I'll have actually properly submitted something. (A long time coming but better late than never.)
I'm happy because I'll be getting Dragon's Dogma this week! I'll wait until Thursday to get it, though, as I have work until then. btw, I also really enjoy my volunteer work at the children's library. EDIT: Ever get those moments where you keep thinking you have something exceedingly important to do for school, then you remember that you're on vacation? Those are the best moments, and I keep getting them every day.
