Out of the blue (they were supposed to email to tell me when they were coming), I got my Olympics tickets through the post. The seats aren't great but hey, it's still Wimbledon Centre Court Semi-Final. Now to pray that I get to see Nadal...
Im pretty happy right about now,. I have got to come home for a week and be with my family. Im usually in the middle of nowhere missing my kids. This last run i was gone for 42 days straight working on a Frac job in Tilden TX, there was a huge mess up on the job site and the frac steel blew, so we where all shut down but on close stand by in case they needed us. So i was just sitting in my little camper trailer doen nothen waiting for a phone call to come back to the job site for 2 weeks, then we started back up and got done. But now i have this whole week off. I have gone to the wate park with the kids, went and saw Madagascar 3, we are going to go make homemade ice cream tonight and have a campout in the back yard. So yeah... id say im patty happy right about now
Got a job interview next week. Well, they called me this morning to invite me but they haven't emailed me yet to confirm (they said they would)... Ah well, hopefully they do soon - I like to have things in writing so I know it's for sure!
Ah, only one exam left before my summer begins! I was really scared about the exam I had to take today, but it actually went pretty well, so I'm happy about that. I really need to catch up on sleep, though...
Well, even though I couldn't get a job at my public library, they sent an email to me and offered a chance for me to help them work on a big project this August! 8D
A few days ago, our air conditioning system died. It's been very, very hot here in SoCal. Today, though, crews are here replacing it all with new, under-warranty equipment! It'll be EXPENSIVE, but the house will be livable this summer!
Thanks. It's been pushed forward to this Friday though. Aaahh! Good to hear your exams are going well. Definitely catch up on sleep. Sleep is the best, after all. That's good! It might help you to get a job at a library in the future.
I'm finally done with them now, so yes, I can sleep and not worry about cramming things in my head. Also, good luck for Friday! Hope it goes well.
Well, it's official. I begin a new job on Monday! My previous job was a contract job that ended at the end of April. The new job is a direct hire, not a contract position, and looks to be very interesting work.
Thanks. I'm a senior software engineer. The new position is a development position that will keep the challenges coming. It's a company that delivers medical information to health care professionals, so delivering the best answers quickly, correctly prioritized, can and does save lives.
Rue Dog was there when my world fell down. Ended up with wet dog smell in my room and Rue's head soaked, but he was there warm, heavy and quiet. Rue is my happy thought, doubt he can help me fly, but he is my happy thought. I'm looking to the little things, while I figure out a few big things... - Darkkin
Aw yeah! Passed for all my exams this semester- I'll just have to retake one that I didn't take now... but that's okay.
To Cogito, Congrats on the New Job Sounds promising and exciting. How do you find time to do that, work here on the Forum, and possibly still write? As for My own bit of happiness, I graduated from high school with a 4.26, I've been accepted to Arizona State University with a $48,000 scholarship, I was given nearly $1500 at my grad party-- part of Which I've used to purchase my new net book and accessories. Beyond that, I'm enjoying my first summer as an adult/last summer as a teenager by really getting into my passion of writing by being here learning and reading and meeting great new people. I've reevaluated my spirituality and Life couldn't be better right now. I just hope I remember to maintain a positive attitude when I hit a stumbling block. >_<
Congrats Andrae and Cogito, and to all those who just finished a successful semester. My mom has been hospitalized for the past few days due to a torn spleen. They were talking transfusions and surgery, but have managed to avoid both and she is being discharged today. She has a long recovery but I'm glad she's well enough to go home, and doesn't have to worry about blood and surgery now. She was terrified of both.
