Oh my God. Agreed.

 

I am happy because I finished puking from chocolate overdose. I'm pretty high from a sugar rush and the bathroom smells great! Like lemon spray and raspberry chocolate and peppermint and the weird tangy soap thing that a friend uses as shampoo because he is a baffoon. Bafoon. Buffoon.

Oh and I learned how to blow bubbles with gum.

 

Can I just say - ick?

 

I agree. I think there's something more than a sugar rush going on here.

 

Yeah... I also had a fever on the way. Gee thanks for the icky understanding, doods.

New happiness: I like my new hair highlight color streak thingey.

 

I got depressed about being unemployed and how there is so much competition and you need more skills/experience and how it's hard even to get relevant voluntary work etc. But then I realised that I was actually getting somewhere in improving my situation. I've got a couple of meetings coming up about volunteering and I'm due to start an IT course soon as well. So on the bright side, I'll finally be doing something with my time!

 

Just downloaded A Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book One by George R.R. Martin onto Kindle! 8D Now to dive into this fantasy universe!

Did you all know that the last fantasy book I read up to now was Paolini's Eldest?

On a weekly scale; got employed for my first time two weeks ago! On my daily scale; I was off today I also passed a math exam I was sort of uptight about, and I'm working on an assignment for my creative writing class now that's been due

Also listening to "She Wolf" by Megadeth. Probably my favorite song of theirs.

 

I AM SO FRICKIN' HAPPY RIGHT NOW!

Why?

I got the rough draft of my thesis back, and I have a 'B'!! My teacher said I am well on my way to having an excellent thesis paper!

 

I've been asked to join the book review team for one of my favourite SF magazines, Interzone. My first book arrived today!

 

^ Wish I could say I'm not seething with jealousy, but I am. Congrats!

As for me, the guy I liked coached me on how to "shoot hoops" so that I could put to rest my younger brothers' nagging antagonism. They have a constant and misguided belief that girls can't shoot. Made 6/10 shots twice in a row while wearing my Little Black Dress and stiletto heels. Made note of said crushes look of approval and him shouting, "In 'yo faces!" before dashing off inside to polish a short story which will go into my exchange diary. My best friend is detained at home from a surgery, so I've been sending her stories to keep her from dying of boredom.

 

Got my NaNoWriMo T-shirt in the mail today! Happy happy happy! Can't wait until my family and friends stare at it like I've gone crazy.

 

(This is going to sound really sad but) my luck with woman might finally be changing! A girl has just gave me her phone number and asked me if I wanted to meet up for a coffee or a meal or something next time she's in town.

I thought she didn't like me after she invited me to a party, I turned up with a friend, drank all her punch and then left.

... I'm a terrible human being.

 

Well, I survived the hurricane. Lost power for twenty-four hours (plus a few minutes), but nothing worse. The office was shut down for two days too, hopefully the power will be back there as well tomorrow.

 

Glad to here, hopefully the rest of the WF east-coasters made it out okay.

I was very lucky- got a lot of wind gusts and rain, but no major damage in my neighborhood. Trees are down across town, and lots of people are without power, but I only lost my cable and internet, and even then just for a few minutes.
