Happy New Year @Andrae Smith! I totally get the mind being set on gratitude bit. As I was sitting alone seeing in the New Year, all I could think of is how lucky and fortunate I am. Much happened last year with the potential to drag my spirit down, but whenever I faltered there was always a hand at the ready to pull me to my feet again, and dust me down. All I wish for this new year is that I can be as supportive of those lovely people as they have been of me. And of course, where would I be without all you guys?
@GingerCoffee That's a personal favourite of mine. @minstrel Hey Dude...check out my likes. I'm not gloating I swear... I'm just completely gobsmacked by the irony. Having BPD I get really nasty bouts of feeling worthless. I'm not one for taking the like-to-post ratio seriously, but even I feel a little encouraged I've hit the thousand. Thanks guys... a lovely start to my new year.
Not just a 1,000, look at the ratio of likes to posts. That may just be the highest ratio on the forum.
40,000.... He's been here since 2007. GC's been here since 2013. So 10,500 in 2 years vs 40,000 in 8 years. Average number of posts per year is the same
Cotton Bowl: Michigan State 42, Baylor 41. Sugar Bowl: Ohio State 42, Alabama (coached by that prick, Nick Saban) 35. Most happy.
This is why I don't write first drafts. I usually start with the second or third draft. At least, that way, I notice the words going by!
This morning I was happy that here in southern Maine, we only received about six inches of snow, which is easier to shovel than trying to shovel a foot or more of snow.
Ok, so I had a friend in high school who I liked quite a bit, but I thought she was way out of my league. We've now agreed to go to the fringe fest together next summer and then go for a coffee. ... have I just got a date?
Thanks guys. It's the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, a huge comedy festival, and will be in the summer. Still, will be nice to see her again at the very least.
