I've been cycling to work all week, so that makes it officially summer in the UK. And we had cloudless skies for the eclipse.
I got to eat in the daylight, for the first time in 19 days! And I have a new oven! No more cooking with the ceiling timer for Jack.
My dogs are bathed for another week, and a game I'm selling on EBay has been bid up to $62, it doesn't even have a box, and it has a week to go.
Doing something I haven't done in months: I'm running my iPod on a total random shuffle with all of my current content. Sometimes you forget what truly lovely piecees you have until you hear them again.
Forbidden Bridge. And the nice thing is I have two more copies, one that is brand new and one that is complete including the box.
Visited a potential Uni choice yesterday, it was at the top of my list anyway. but after what i saw and how amazing the place is, I think it might just be my favourite choice. if you want to know its Aberystwyth University in Aberystwyth, Wales.
Hopping across the pond next week! Planning on seeing a Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge (my personal Mecca) and visiting the pub where Tolkien wrote LOTR, as well countless other things.
And JK Rowling was on caffeine? Hmmmm. I'm happy because the forum is back! Whatever happened to take it offline all day has apparently been solved. Yesterday was terrible for my procrastination. I had to actually work on my novel formatting ...no forum to distract me. Got a lot of formatting done, and uploaded two chapters to my Kindle, just to see what they'll look like. I am pleased. Still lots of formatting work to do, but I'm finally starting to think it will actually be 'out there' before I kick the bucket.
Don't I know it! I kept refreshing. Nothing. Dammit. Fine, I'll look at my WIP. But then TV got the better of me.
I was fortunate, I'm so involved in my WIP right now the forum being down was actually good for me. I worked on the WIP. But I was worried I never be able to talk to all of you again. You're all my friends and I don't want that to happen. I want to read your books. I want you to read mine. And I want the forum to grow.
I was worried about the forum as well. I don't want to say good-bye to everyone here forever. D: And I had gotten an Xbox One and Sunset Overdrive, so that distracted me when the forum was down. But glad to see the forum up and running again.
I know a guy who's a Senior Lecturer in the computer department there; his specialty is computer security. It's a great school, and the National Library of Wales is there. And beautiful Cardigan Bay.
The Eagle and Child in Oxford. Suppose him "writing them there" is a little too literal, but it was frequented by Tolkien and the Inklings in their heyday.
Since I'm from "The Shire" (as defined by Google), I wondered if it was anywhere near me...it's a bit too far for a bike ride! Have a great visit!
