A woman approached me on Halloween and apparently told me she found me attractive. I didn't pick up on it until recently, but it's still nice to know somebody out there liked my face.
My landlord called and I'm now expecting him and the handyman to come down with a new oven for my flat. So I've cleared the kitchen surfaces and am waiting. Also, my bf and I went to the local botanical garden for some fresh air and photography. All in all I am feeling much better than yesterday.
Ok so this a follow up to the posts I made in the Not Happy Thread regarding my both unemployment and living situation. Well good news! I got myself a new place and moved in today. the moving part itself was a bitch and I´m super tired but everything's great and I love my new place. Also I got a new job and start on Monday, so yay! the money isn't a lot but it's good enough for now. Things were getting rough and however much money I can bring in is a welcome and a blessing and makes all the difference. So I'm really happy, relieved and not as stressed as I was. Life's good
After some thinking, I decided to redo my sequel cover. And boy howdy am I glad I did. The first one is way too busy, and all over the place. Second one is much better.
Ever tried scotch and amaretto? It seems to me the amaretto takes everything dull in the scotch and makes it magic.
You're welcome! I have one! My doc's appointment on Friday was the best report I've had in ages! No followups until six months from now!!!
A developer I actually met has spoken out against loot boxes! Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer of Monster Hunter World, was asked about them, and he said that there's already a free mechanic that has the randomised element. He also said that the notion of selling resources defeats the purpose of the game. For the record, he's a lovely guy.
I've been measuring my words written amount against what someone doing nanowrimo would be (theoretically) doing, and so far I'm easily keeping up
My son is now engaged to his girlfriend. It was rather sudden. I haven't met her but they've been friends for 10 years. I'm happy for him. He has really nice friends so I think I'll like her.
Oh man, you’re awesome, Ginger. I would have so many “ERMMMM EXCUUUUUUUSE ME” moments to that one. Love seeing people better than me. Quite the inspiration.
I'm pretty sure I'm not better than you or anyone else. It's kind of weird. He split with his live-in girlfriend almost a year ago. She was nice, her parents were great, but my son was always doing things without her and vice-versa. I held my tongue but told him after they split I didn't see how two people who didn't hang out together as much as they didn't had a promising relationship. He objected. I said no more. We'll see how this girl from his past turns out. He's always had interesting girlfriends. I think he was searching for something more meaningful in his life than working and hanging out with friends. He chose someone he was good friends with. I'm happy for him.
Job interview coming up next week! Could it be that things will actually turn out alright for me this time? Singed the paper for the apartment last night and it'll be mine within a month! I visited it, too, and it's all empty. A bit of a shame that I can't move in this weekend, but some paper had to make a trip around the country and back before it's finally mine.
Quitting smoking is so hard. I finally kicked it several months ago. But I will admit to having a few drags off a friend's cigarette almost every chance I get which is quite rare given how few friends I have that smoke and how often I see them. I would like to avoid tobacco, but I'm all for the other stuff -- the good stuff.
