not a pro, yet very curious
I woke up this morning with the shockwave of an explosion in my brain: out of nowhere all the "knowledge" about an event hit me, everything was true in its co-existence and made sense exactly at the same time. It wasn't because I remembered things, but it came into existence in my brain at the same time. Temporality of the events was suspended. I cannot explain exactly what happened, but it was amazing!! :superyesh:

For our Californians, this Iowa discovered this today. These KTLA folks are good people. They made me smile.

Today was a solid day. The writing sessions went well, I did quite a bit of market research and I felt strong all day.

I hope you guys also had a great day.

You might want to see a cardiologist about that.

Nah, it's a regular occurrence. Especially around Ms. Black.

New high score for me. I bought 4 suits in 20 minutes between a trip to the bank and a sandwich run. Local haberdashery had a rack of $99 clearance, all good shit, all 42 broad. I only ducked in during my errands because I saw Stacy Adams in the window. Didn't have time for fittings but I told them I'd be back tomorrow. $99 for green window pane, lavender pin stripe, and charcoal grey glen plaid? Silk and wool. Put it on my tab, sir.

What else you gonna do during the Apocalypse? If the world's gonna end, I'm gonna look good for it.

I'm saving a ton on wardrobe. Next daily face to face lessons are April, so except for underoos I'm giving the clothes shopping a break.

I have been asked to write an article and act as an associate editor for an online archive. It's nice when your non-fiction work gets noticed and someone is prepared to give you a platform for it :)

Considered cancelling my time off in September because the family vacation got moved to next April, but I haven't had any lengthy time off since I started working here, so I'm gonna just take it.

I've just sent off my first ever query to an agent. It's for a picture book. This is appropriate in this thread because I'm happy and I'm proud, but I'm also FREAKING OUT!

We got laser pointers at work so we can keep our 6 feet distance while assisting guests. (using laser pointers to help someone seems a little impersonal to me, but i digress....)

Im happy about the laser pointer part! Ive never been so amused at work! Lol, i've been messing with my coworker across the room with it:supercheeky:

I know you don't work in a pet store, but tell me you work in a pet store!

My goddaughter had been worried about starting 7th grade and going back to school after five months.

But the first two weeks went pretty well. A hiccup here and there, but she's been doing okay.

To hear the happiness and relief in her voice when we talked on the phone after school today brought me happiness.

A job I thought I didn't get called me not long ago and said that they were interested. I still have to take a drug test and do a physical, but there's nothing to worry about in either of those areas, so...yeah. It doesn't involve a ton of money, but it's more money than I've ever made in my life, so I'm very happy at this point.

Congratulations. I'm not sure there's a better feeling than the one that comes from landing a job when you need one.

I'm gonna guess it's not a restaurant... I applied at one that tested once. I was like, does weed count? They just kind of looked at me. It was a quick interview.

Oh goodness. There are preferable alternatives to returning to foodservice. *shudders* No, not a restaurant. I'm not quite sure what it involves but the only pills I'm popping these days are antacids, so I'm pretty sure I'm good.
