There's no marching band practice next week on Monday, so there's a reason I can spend more of my summer vacation in peace. ^^

It's 3 am and I'm sitting in my computer chair with my cat on my lap writing my novel. I finally have time to.

 

Just bought this weeks Northumberland Gazette. I'm published again!

Awesome feeling

I just worked out why one of my characters is being threatened!

I realised the other day that my plot goes from middley nothingness to an action packed conclusion with very little rising action.
I really needed a complication to pop up around the area I'm writing now. And tonight I realised that my blackmail subplot totally ties all this together and gives me some "why has Andrew disappeared" action. So I'm really inspired again. Yay!

And I apologise to anyone who just read that, as I know I must make no sense at all. I'm happy anyway

 

So I went to a fan convention this weekend (I know, I'm a dork) and met Jared Padalecki and freakin Jensen Ackles (one of my biggest celebrity crushes) of Supernatural. Awesomeness. Great guys. Oh, and HOT. Just had to share

 

Finished my Maths Calc exam in my Graphics exam today! Only one twenty-minute Physics exam on Wednesday left, and then I'm officially a college student!

 

I have my last day at work today! w00t!

It's been nice and cloudy and cold these past few days, which is a nice break from the heat, and Walleye Weekend is this weekend, so I'm excited.

 

Oh my god, I have a job interview at a pharmacy at the end of the month. I'm probably not qualified, but someone read my CV, and they want an interview. Oh my god. I might actually make some money. //Deep exhale

I just got given a mint Aero. And I remembered that I have a box of Quality Streets, although I only like half of them. But yeah, yay for chocolate.

 

My fiance and her father just bought a house! Working on making it livable. We hope to move in by the end of the month! Our first house!

Congratulations, prospective employees! And that sounds like so much fun, Lord Malum. Whenever I get to the point where I can make an investment in a house, I'd love to get a run-down one and restore and make it beautiful.

I've been writing a lot. I punched out just under 8000 words last night and wound up working on it until about 4 in the AM. --I was angry that I ended up waking up at 12:30PM as consequence (now, at 4:30, it still feels like morning. Ugh), but it feels good to be so passionate about not only the act of writing but an idea that I devised and flushed out again. It's been a long while since I've been truly happy with something that I've written. Ego booster!

I have finals next week, along with a presentation and a paper (the kind I don't want to write, hah!), so I'm going to have to exercise sincere discipline... Hmm.

I'm also feeling a bit better in general. I went out with people from my lab last night for dinner and drinks --before I got home and word-purged. At first I had expressed hesitation, as I'm the new, young kid, and it just felt funny to mix work life with social life. But I eventually just said what the hell and went out, and on the way home everyone said they were very happy that I came out. That felt nice.

I just got back from spending two blissfully ignorant hours at the movies... not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon!!
