My mind is going a million miles a minute. It feels good to reason out some things. I feel calmer just by being able to answer myself. And it doesn't fit my current work, but it's making a nice short story... Hmmm.
Tedious marking versus waiting for a jury to return a verdict... I'll take the tedious marking, please.
That's a lot. I tried to give you rep but I've given you some too recently and it said I had to wait. That's freaking AWESOME though. I can't wait to read it.
IMPULSE / THERAPY SHOPPING!! I'm feeling very jittery / high energy / happy / omgwtf, so I just bought an adorable hat online today... it is so cute. I will post a photo of it when it comes in the mail probably sometime early next week. I don't think it's a purchase I'll regret, but I'm like YAY. I HAZ NEW STUFF. As if I need new stuff when I really need to be packing all my current stuff... because I'm moving next week! I cant wait. Better location, better condition, better roommate, better everything.
I'd just like to report that while the rest of the country is sweltering, we here in Seattle are facing one of the coldest summers in a while, lol. It's like a Hawaii winter right now. At night I use my down blanket; I'm talking down right chilly. In the daytime it heats up to 70 F or so with a few clouds and sunshine. On Sunday, however, it will be heating up to 73 degrees.
I might move to the Seattle area in a year or so if I pursue a job up there. (Most of my relatives/friends live in that region). Can you tell me more about what the climate and culture is like there?
O.M.G. It was over 100 today. We had heat advisories and stuff. It's 87 IN MY HOUSE now I wanna come visit you. *pouts*
^Uhhh, sorry Trish. I know exactly what you're going through. And I will experience it too this Friday. We're supposed to be getting temperatures right around 97 degrees. Ugh.
Oh my sympathies to those living especially in the midwest. I heard that the temperature got as high as 121 in Iowa, I think. Seattle has a maritime climate, so mild winter, mild summer, and lots and lots of cloudy days. We get a lot of rain, to be sure, but the number of cloudy days is extreme. The culture really depends on where you live. It's kind of bohemian/hippy/liberal/intellectual in the U-District, of course, and a lot of the more urban part of Seattle. And more conservative/traditional but still intellectual in the suburbs. People read a lot, own dogs, drink coffee. The end. Ha.
^ I don't wanna hear it ... it's 107 here in the shade.. when and if you can find it. My hometown is becoming a desert
^ HUZZAH!! I've decided that meditation right after excercise is really good. Helps me to calm both my body and mind. And apparently I just learned right now that CTRL+S while on a webpage will save said webpage in a folder. I'm more amused than wondering how I've failed to notice this in the 17 years I've been banging away at a computer.
Woo! Haha, I love it when you find out something like that that you think 'how can I not have known this before?!'
