Thank you! It has been an extremely difficult year, but I think everything is finally falling into place again, and if anything, it makes me more appreciative of the things I do have, like a caring family that loves me, and I was definitely given a much needed lesson on how to thicken skin. Springtime always will show up after the winter, aye?
Awww, that's so cool! How nice of them. I hope you had a good party! Edit: I am happy because my first day as a manager (which actually was exactly like every other day I've ever worked...no managerly responsibilities at all) went well, I got to go see my family for my brother's birthday after, and then Joel and I came home, and I made cookies. aaaaand... Joel's mom finally called an exterminator! They came in today while I was at work and bombed the house. Hooray, no more bugs! (hopefully)
That's awesome It sounds like a good time, hope you had fun. hidden: congratz on your first day as manager even if there was very little managing involved.
Thank you. I'm looking forward to learning actual manager-y stuff, but I have to admit, it's kind of nice just being eased into the position like this, lol. *evil cackle* I'm very happy with myself right now. The story is a little long, so I'll spoiler it. Read if you wish. Spoiler My older sister (bless her soul, she's too darn nice for her own good) is friends with this total creeper guy who is really into her. Despite her clear lack of interest in anything even resembling a relationship, he always hits on her, buys her little gifts, tries to get her to go out with him, makes creepy, borderline inappropriate comments on her facebook, etc...well, recently, one of our other sisters and I were talking to her via facebook about how she should hang out with us and our friends more because hers aren't very good ones...long story short, he took offense to a comment I made about her "creeper friends" and posted a huge rant about what a game-playing, conniving b*tch my sister was (hello, dude, it was my comment not hers, so why don't you just cry about what a b*tch I am on your facebook...you do it enough already), and then he turned around and tried to act like nothing ever happened. My sister, as I said, is far too nice for her own good, and would never say anything to him about this because she wouldn't want to hurt his feelings or cause a fight or something silly like that. Enter me. I suppose the best thing to do in this situation would be to give my sister a stern talking to about how she needs to stand up for herself, but honestly, I used to be just like her, and it took an abusive boyfriend to toughen me up...I'd rather step in and fight some of her battles for her than see her go through something like that to learn how to stand up for herself. Besides, it's fun for me.
Discovered Dream Threatre are coming out here later on in the year. As long as they dont cancel their tour like they often do, i'll stay happy for a while.
I'm happy because i found this great new apartment where i will be staying with my greatest friends. URESHII!!!!
Heehee thanks. My sister is always like "oh, be nice..." when I say anything to him, but she admitted to me a little while ago that she doesn't really mean it. I took that as an invitation to tell him what I was really thinking rather than just making little sarcastic comments to get under his skin. Did you just call me Mal?
Watch it, Dan, or you'll get beaten up by Heather again. Go Heather! Can you come over to Indiana and dispell some of my creepers? I dont think I'm as naive as your sister (I dont consider some of my 'friends' actual friends... but they consider me a friend), but I'm just as passive as she is. I lack the ability to tell them to bug off already.
I would love to! I don't know why it's so fun for me, but creeper-dispelling makes me very happy. Haha it's ok. I have seven siblings, one of whom looks exactly like me, so I'm used to being called the wrong name.
Apologies for my double post, but I got the PIN number for my new account today (Paypal!), plus I just bought a new pair of jeans to replace my old ones (the perk of which being I got to walk into town wearing my suit jacket + trousers, with the reason that I always wear my jacket and those were the only other trousers I wear. ) and me and Leah are having a movie day tomorrow, so I'm really looking forward to that.
Lawls, you didn't double post. Hooray for finally getting your paypal account! And have fun at the movies!
(I thought I did but your post got in the way, HEATHER. ) Ah, now that's the best thing. We're not having a movie day we go to the films, we're having a day where the films come to us. Basically, we're going to hang around at my house all day watching films.
That's what I'm here for-to get in the way. How fun! Joel and I tried to do that yesterday, but I got called into work early and then ended up working late on top of that. Boo. I made cookies last night, and I have to say, I make some kick-a** cookies.
Yay for cookies! Joel was very upset because I keep making cookies for work and not for him, so I made extra cookies last night. Now we've got chocolate chip cookies on top of the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I made with him last weekend. Cookies everywhere!
Yum. I'm happy, and Heather should be relatively pleased, that I am about to return the epic fail organizational folders I bought from Office Max the other day. So maybe I can have an organized school year for once, after I exchange them. I'm also going to take advantage of the penny program going on... if it's still going...
Hooray! I hope you find folders that work better for you. I love being organized. And the penny stuff is still going. This week should be notebooks for a penny.
