My uni writing society won an award last night! New Society of the Year! I was at the award ceremony, and taking the photos at the end of the Soc with the trophy was pretty funny :D

Thanks. I guess you could call it a first publication for me.
<laughing> At least you know she was listening after all the times you had to clean up her "artistic expressions." :D

I finally got into the house with all my friends! This is going to be the best summer/school year I've ever had. There really isn't any end to my excitement.

It is my Eighteenth Birthday in one week and three days. My father bought seven tickets to go and see Dara O'Briain on the night and my auntie has also bought me tickets to go and see QI in June.

    My family knows me. :D

Seriously, though. Eighteen? What. The. Arse?

I'm really happy because I phoned my mobile phone service provider about a discrepancy with my mobile phone bill and turns out I now don't have to pay my phone bill for 6 months as they owe me $780, and because I have my mobile and home phone on the same bill, I definitely won't get a phone bill for 6 months! yay! I love it when this happens. Means more money to put away for our family holiday!!!!

That's quite the discrepancy. I'm glad you got it sorted.

I am laughing at the immaturity of 8th graders, especially online. :D One of them randomly insulted me on my facebook page, and when I told them that was immature and to go away (with a sarcastic smiley face! :)) the reply was "no i'll do what i want".

    *cracks up* VERY mature.

But I've noticed that about the class below me; when I was an 8th grader (and I wasn't immature, or at least I've been told that I was a very mature kid by my teachers) the 7th graders made me want to lay them out, and they haven't changed.

I can't wait til they get to the high school and get laid out flat by the older kids. :D

Violence is like, wrong and stuff. Man.

    ;)

Anyways, my day is good because I may be figuring out this whole singing thing. By no means is my voice pretty but then again, neither is the music I listen to (ignore that smooth jazz and mellow folk music lying over there )

I'm babysitting my two year old nephew, and we're sitting on the couch watching Anastasia. Every once in a while, he looks at me and says "I'll be right back." Then he gets up, walks into the kitchen or down the hall or into my bedroom, and then turns right back around, comes back to the couch, and sits down. Cutest thing ever.

My mum fell off the stairs today and was rushed to hospital.

Thankfully it looks like after falling 5 steps that she only has a small fracture at best. (The doctors are playing it safe)

Im happy because it could have been much worse.

I'm feeling happier today as it's only three weeks on Wednesday till I have my mum with me. I haven't seen her since August last year and I do miss her so much, we were very close when I left my home town to move 900 miles away. Sometimes I love the distance from everyone and other times I curse it. Anyway something to look forward to, 10 days with my Mum Yay!
