I'm happy because I voted an hour ago and felt appreciative that I live in a country where my vote is free and counts. I went happily to the Polling Station thinking I'd vote Lib Dems and felt fairly certain because my mind was telling me it's the sensible vote, especially because I'm in Edinburgh East which is a hugely marginal seat (last Election was just 400 votes between Lib Dem and Labour). Unfortunately, my heart disagreed with my head and before I knew what was happening the pen was crossing the Labour box! They think that the formerly 'Undecideds' like me will swing it back for Labour. Here's hoping. I can't stomach the thought of a Tory Gov *shivers*
Here's hoping that doesn't happen. *continues praying* lol I know it's kinda pointless since I'm an American. XD I'm all for Lib Dems or Labour party though. Probably Labour since they were in power when I first got into foreign politics. I felt the same way you did way back in November of 2008 when I voted for Barack Obama. Imagine my surprise when the votes were counted and he won that same night. I went to bed feeling very, very proud of my country and myself. Anyways, back to topic: I just did a lap with my dogs and I feel wonderful. This summer's starting off with a good bang.
Obama winning was a great day not only for the US but for the rest of the world. Praise to you for following foreign politics. It's good to see there are a few Americans who like to look out and beyond.
Wait a minute, you were surprised that Obama won? He'd already won the day he won the democratic nomination. In any case, I'm happy currently because today, while still a bit crappy, isn't nearly as crappy as yesterday.
I'm happy because tomorrow I'm going to my friend's 25th birthday party and we're going to a spa!!! With quad biking thrown in
Hehe, I love arguing with my sister about what I'm supposed to write. I read this for her: "The girl had gone unconscious about fifteen minutes ago, and unable to carry her in the heat, Jacob dragged her along in the sand." She said: "DRAGGED? Or you crazy? How mean is that??" I said: "Yeah but... it's like really hot so he's very tired, you know." She: "Oh come on, just let him carry her." p.s: CAN you actually say 'had gone unconscious'? Not sure...
Okay, it's official, I got myself a job it's only a partime paid internship, but after about a month of training they're going to hire me fulltime! whooohooo! I start Wednsday, I am happy now
