My CNN Student News is done for the first 3 days of the week! :D I hate it when I fall behind, so getting those done is a relief and a weight off of my shoulders.

Having that finished has put me in a fantastic mood and has definately lifted a weight from my shoulders, even though i did enjoy the project

and now I'm going to watch the chuck season finale!!! :D so excited!

I'm done with the dentist for now. My teeth are perfectly fine (although I do have one cavity, small one, to be filled this Friday) and I just feel generally good. :)

My mother-in-law has arrived to stay with us for the next week or so. I realise that this is often not something to celebrate, but it means that Tanya and I have a ready-made babysitter for our three young kids for the immediate future, and will get some alone-time, which is always welcome. :)

Sometimes little things like this are all that you need in a day.

Coming from someone who just recently moved out of her mother-in-law's house, I'm glad that you are able to look forward to a visit from yours. :) I think I'll need a few years before I can do that.

Sounds lovely. I'm a little jealous of your coffee. And your pleasant conversation.

We had my sister and her fiance over for dinner last night, so I got to cook fancy food (well...fancy for me. It was pistachio-crusted chicken and glazed carrots) for everyone, and then we went to see my brother's new house. We hung out there for a while, and my sister and I got to play with our adorable nephew. Also, my sister-in-law's deadbeat brother lives with them, and while we were there he came home and started complaining that there was no food in the fridge, so I got to razz him about how he could find plenty of food at the grocery store. It was fun.

Taking a bike ride everyday has been killer on the legs, but it also makes me feel so much better for the remainder of the day. I'm so glad I decided to do this. Some other bikers are starting to see me as regular now too. =D

I'm happy because I talked a little bit with a friend I haven't got to talk with in a while last night and I think I'm going to go see a movie with him really soon which is awesome cuz I rarely get to see him :D

I just got my final cavity filled in! =D My mouth is numb though. Probably shouldn't talk for a bit.

    Hmmm...what to do now?

The Senate panel and House have voted to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell. As someone who has friends and an uncle that are part of the LGBT community, I am overjoyed at this. This could be comparable to the integration of US troops in 1948--it could even be my generation's Civil Rights movement.

All I want is equal rights for all, and this is a HUGE step forward.

I don't care if I seem like a crazy old lady whose 10 kids have flown the nest and has now replaced them with many different breeds of cat, I love working on my scrapbook.

It's a fun, crafty activity, and I can keep hold of all those little scraps and memories that I can't bear throw away and make something really pretty out of it.

    Plus it passes the time.

Ha, well, I actually want to go into Photography, and of course continue writing. I've also got a heart for counseling too so who knows, I've really got the means to do whatever I please. :3 Any words of wisdom?

Well, I should have studied business so I could have stolen millions by now as well, haha.

Anything that will not become a job, Nonnie, the arts are always refreshing.

Whatever you do, stay away from computer science, it was my defeat.
