I'm just glad I'm not the only one here who names their posessions.

I went through a period of naming my peripheries (USB stick, external hard drive, mp3 player) after historical socialist figures. I had Trotsky, Khrushchev, Lenin.

My laptops have always been named after historical or science fiction computers. So far I've had the Difference Engine, Aurora (in honour of the Metroid games), and now Deep Thought :)

Ahhh, Metroid Aurora, see, that makes it 100xs cooler. All of my lappys have been named Domremy. I am on Domremy III now. I have an Andre', Sheila, Jonus, Samuel, Joshua and Duane.

No real theme here. 'cept for maybe Samuel and Joshua.

I have a habit of naming other peoples things as well, and they don't like it.

Inanimate objects, people! Although the car is called Leia. She has tantrums like a right flipping princess.

lol. My laptop is called "The Stupid One" because of the loud fan.

In other news, I've found a new show I like on BBCA. It's called "Primeval" and it's about people hunting down prehistoric creatures in modern day UK.

Wow, is that new over there? I remember watching the first series of that years ago. I think I have it on DVD somewhere...

I dunno. It may be just re-runs. Doesn't tell me anything else except for what its about. I'm watching the episode where they chase three raptors around a shopping mall/center.

LOL Primeval! That's so 90s. Or early 2000s? Either way, I remember being rather young when it was on. Bad acting + bad CGI+Dinosaurs = good stuff.

And it was ITV as well. Blimey, BBC America know how to get ITV programmes. Though why it would want to is a very good question.

Playing my last game of 2009/10 tonight after my knee niggle from last week cleared up. If I play like I did last week, I'll be going out on a high after a shocking season if injuries.

I think my first PC was called "Robert's Porn Factory" much to my mother's dismay.

If you're serious I'm divorcing you right now... oh wait... never mind. I never named anything that wasn't alive- except my teddy bear and dolls. :D

I named all the dead mice I ever found after Medieval kings and queens and gave them a proper burial.

Well I changed it later, it was just so she'd freak out when she saw it.

That's...rather touching. :) I never really buried anything "proper burial" like. I usually dug a hole, gently covered the deceased critter and placed a rock on top, or buried it near a fence post so it acted as its tombstone.

    Gee, I'm weird. XD

    You're insane.

Lol, I did the same... that's a proper burial in my eyes. :D So we're just two awesome people. :p

Any time one of our animals died, or if an animal died around us (usually abandoned baby birds, which was always very sad) we would bury then under a bush or tree in one of the clearing in the giant forest we live in. We put rocks on top too so other animals won't dig it up and stuff.

I used to name things. I think my laptop is just called MY_LAPTOP. I used to call it Eddie. My baby blanket was named Jason. My iPod was Mercurial for a while, but now it's just "(My Name)'s iPod" again.

    boring.

The porn factory thing is pretty funny. :D I have no idea what my parents would do if they saw any traces of something like that on my computer.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the honest to God name that shows up as my compys name is Shannadactyl, not Domremy III.

Just to continue this... went to the costume fitting yesterday (at the RSC's costume factory, no less) and discovered that since I had sent the Director a picture of me, she had decided to recast me.

    I'm now a gay servant.

    Okay, then! :D

Then I got to look around the three floors of costumes they keep which range from Roman to Contempary (I spent about half an hour at the Regency section  ) and the lovely lady who showed me around pointed out all the costumes that had been worn by famous people.

For those who don't know, Regency is my favourite period for dress sense.

The best part however was when I was changing in the fitting room and I found a costume folded in a plastic bag. The label read: "Love's Labours Lost, DAVID TENNANT'S COSTUME"

I might put this in my signature. Just 'cause.

    AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I squee'd hardcore when I read that. Oooh, I have happy shivers. And hey, one day in the future, some kid will have the same experience except it will be YOUR name. O:
