The dirty mind strikes again...

I'm happy because I downloaded some song from the movie Les Choristes... simply beautiful. :)

(the songs, not the illegal downloading :p)

Hey, creativity is a two way street. Or at least that's what I always say to defend my own dirty mind to people.

I'm happy because I was able to find that music I was trying to find for a surprise for Zack's bday. :D I contacted one of his friends via facebook and got help tracking it down!

Thanks. :) I'm going to throw him a surprise party with my family since he doesn't really know anyone except a couple of my friends. lol So we're going to have it here. But I'm going to have him think we're just going out to dinner at mcdonald's or something. Lol

I'm happy because I just found out that I'm going to Florida over Christmas break, and I dont have to pay for it. :) I actually really like winter, but it'll be nice to have a short break from the snow, and to experience Christmas somewhere besides my home for the first time.

I also managed to snag two more hours of sleep because I had a migraine, and my migraine medicine actually knocks me out for an hour or two, and when I wake up it's gone.

Now I am watching reruns of House on Hulu.

    That's really awesome, Mercurial! :)

I'm listening to the music Zack listened to when he came down to visit me the first time.

Bahaha! I posted about my In n Out pickle experience on facebook, and this chick that I used to work with replied, all sarcastically, "so when are you due?" Being the snarkastic person that I am, I replied "December 23rd." And both the chick and Joel's best man were like "whaaaaaaaat?"

It's a small thing, but it made me laugh.

Of course, I probably just cursed myself and will now get knocked up.

I'm happy because I went to the end of the year swim banquet :D

of course this means i have to get up and leave by 6 tomorrow so that i can make a 2 hour drive with my dad to meet up with my youth group instead of leaving with them today, but it was worth it...so so worth.

That team has become so important to me I can't even begin to explain it. The friends i've gotten from there are amazing and fantastic. Within a few weeks I have gained so much and it has been one of the best decisions of my life joining that team.

Whoa! I thought you were knocked up for a moment. That wouldn't be such a bad thing, would it? ;)

    That's pretty funny though.

Congratulations, I'm happy for you. A good sense of comradery is always a good feeling.

I had band practice on Saturday night. We played for around 5 hours and I was drenched in sweat by the end.
It was very satisfying in an exhausting sort of way.

We jammed out some covers fro practice. Some Soundgarden, some Zeppelin. They were very impressed by my ability to sing in Robert Plant's range and are excited to bang out a couple Zeppelin tunes regularly at shows.

But the covers was only a very small part of what we did. We played mostly original music, and this is the first time in a band that I've actually genuinely liked every song that we played. We even wrote a new song.
It's very bluesy and sort of reminds me of a cross between Soundgarden's "Like Suicide" and Zeppelin's "In My Time of Dying." (Which are both fantastic tunes, by the way if you haven't heard them)

The guitarist just started playing an idea that he had and was pleasantly surprised that I came in with a vocal melody. It was gibberish at first, but I came up with words for it on the car ride home and look forward to showing them off next time.
In any case, I just can't tell you how happy I am with this band. It feels so good to be playing again!

I'm glad you have such a great team. :) And that you got to go to the banquet!

Mmm...I don't think it would be bad if I were pregnant. But I have a feeling Joel would sh*t himself. I asked him how long he wanted to wait until we had kids, and he said "one of us has to be at least 25." But he said it in a voice that sounded like he really didn't want to have kids that soon. :p

    Good. :D

I'm happy because I believe Amazon made a mistake when I bought my books and they arrived here in a week! I had selected the cheapest shipping method and it was supposed to get here in 2 months!!!

I am very happy, lots of books to read!

I tried to post earlier when I left, but my stupid phone wouldn't work...

Joel and I are in Arizona. We're staying at his mom's, so I get to deal with his stupid cat, but other than that, I'm a happy girl. :D

So for the most part my friend and I are on speaking terms. But it feels so different when we talk. Distant almost. I understand why... but I guess even if we were to talk everyday it wont be the same. Not for a long time if ever.

But what sucks is that its going to be the small things I am going to miss.

But. I am happy that I am hopeful in that one day we might be close like that again.

    So yay!

Oh wow I hadn't known about that. >.<

Hmm I still think Hulu is evil though. lol
Wow when you first mentioned the whole alien thing. I hadn't the slightest clue what you were talking about. It wasn't until just now that I remembered the whole Alien Brain Eating campaign. I remember seeing those commercials all the time.

I didn't find out about it until just now. I'm not really surprised though. Also the internet doesn't like me tonight.. all my stuff keeps double posting despite the fact I click once. :/
