You can do it, Emily! I'm sure it'll look amazing, especially when it concerns your children. I'm so happy right now, actually. My costume for Halloween is looking so amazing! I'm so happy I decided to make it from scratch instead of buy one.
Ohhh that's cool!! I love Halloween. And THANK YOU!! I'm super excited. Extra happy: I've been having an extra issue that has been really stressing me out (I'm sparing you the details), and today, I talked to my dad, and he's fixing it! I love him so much.
Today I am happy because (this is going to sound super nerdy) I ran a Dungeons and Dragons encounter for the first time as a dungeon master! I was a decent DM from what my buddies said, but I think it was a little too easy for them. My monsters (humans, one Hag, and a huge enchanted wolf) were barely a road bump to them, they gave my monsters a run for the money. I was soooo nervous, but it went super well all things considered...
Despite being horribly ill for the last month, I've had a lovely few days. I took my laptop to get fixed and the guy did it for free because I'd been there a year ago and spent lots of money. I bought a new CD - the label said it was $23.95 but at the register they charged me $10. I had to buy a new wireless broadband thingie and it cost $20 less than the price on the label. I won $50 on a scratchie I got for my birthday. I did some grocery shopping today and the girl at the checkout gave me a 5% off voucher to use right away. I got to vent at someone who was very rude. Mightn't sound like much, but in my little world it's been great
I'm so happy right now, nothing incredibly wonderful has happened like you guys have had, I'm just feeling lovely deep contentment at the moment I'm spending just under a week staying with my boyfriend, and his taking a second job meant that usually we'd just have a few minutes a day together Plus, I seem to be getting back into the writing groove. Happy days!!!
Joel and I are driving down to Arizona for Thanksgiving! We'll probably end up leaving late the night before, and we have to drive back to Nevada Thanksgiving night, but still. We won't be by ourselves on Thanksgiving.
I have discovered the wonder that is Ben and Jerry's. Most specifically Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream. This is the best ice cream EVER. One of my favorites!
Just got off the phone from talking with the most awesome guy ever. I love talking to him. And I love him too. Siiiiiiiiigh. /very-much-in-love-corniness
They sure do. Too quick! Yeah, it seems like I blinked and a few months went by without me noticing. Anyways, I'm really happy today because my oldest received an honour certificate at the big assembly yesterday for how much his reading has progressed. When he first started at his new school, he could barely read still, now he is zooming along at an incredible rate. I'm so proud! He also got 100% on his spelling test! YAY MASE! He also has one of his good friends coming to join him at his new school on Monday. She is a little English girl who loves him to pieces. Her family moved here not too long after us and are now transferring their daughters to the school as well. Mase is so excited! Daniel got an amazing blurb from Fran Friel, for his novel Samhane. My parents are now going to be here for Tobin's birthday, as her tests she had to have done on her heart were brought forward. It's been a really fantastic week this week.
Awww I'm happy things are going so well for you!! My computer has had an awful virus for the last three days or so, and I have been without. It was evil. It looked like my virus program and that's how it got through to my computer at all, and it wouldn't let me get on the internet at all. So after several hours of thorough computer scans, and general mourning for my sick child piece of technology, I am happy to say that my peppy, purple computer is back to her usual self and all is well in the world. Thanks to Andy and his magic doctor services!
In the future Em if something happens software wise to your comp and it is recent (and maybe malware related) you can try to do a system restore It is a common troubleshooting tool that IT guys use, it doesnt affect any of your personal files and it is super simple to use. Just go to help and look for it or do a search, but the instructions are simple and straightforward. I had to do it myself a couple times to get rid of some funky malware.
Thanks!! I will keep that in mind. I've never had to do one, and I wasn't sure how or where to go, so we just summoned help from computer people.
I'm glad everyone is so happy! I'm happy because, tomorrow I'm going on a vacation well in 17 hours. I'll bew gone for a like a week. I need a break from life, whoa to the tanning, swimming, parties and everything else I'll be doing on vacation.
Halloween mwahahaha! I am going to have an awesome weekend and I hope you all do , as well. I am on vacation next week and look forward to coming home and doing nothing but reading, writing and reviewing. I love this site and am very HAPPY I found it. Thank You.
I may not get to go home for Thanksgiving, but at least I get to go to the next derby bout here in Vegas. Just bought my tickets.
Wow! Time passes. I been w176 online for ten years now. Ten awesome years, and my life is growing more awesome each year still.
A year ago today, my partner, Daniel Russell, fell down a hill while showing the kids where he works, and my waters broke, and my labour with little baby Tobin, began. Only to be born two days later. Ah, what a great memory! lol! Only two days till he turns 1!!! YAY!
Went to a law dinner last night (Solicitors, barristers, judges) and discovered one of the wives of one of the arbitrators works for a decent publishing house. Had a good conversation about certain novels/genres and even a bit about mine (She asked me). I took the conversation as something more fun and polite, but she said she'd look out for me when I've actually finished something. Was a fun and entertaining night.
