@Robert-Thou art an exception of course! @Emily-Aww, all the best. Hope it goes/went fine. @Dan-Should I scream . Happy for you. Making new friends is always the best thing! Me, I'm going to school today after one looooooong week. Sounds weird, but I'm happy .
Today I went and purchased gifts from America for my friends two daughters, and managed to save money because the Australian dollar is worth more than the American dollar. I've never seen it happen before, but definitely good news for me! lol!
Yeah, that's real great. Shows hope for the rupee too. I read your update(thank God for that), and immediately ran to Papa. I have like $600 just sitting, and I wanted to get them converted into local currency before they resulted in any loss. The rupee's getting stronger and well that's good for us. Though I have to admit I'm not that unselfish. Lol, I just asked him to in the hope that that'd get me a new cell. He lost my Pixon .
I have just completed the first draft - a little over 75,000 words - of the first novel I have ever written right through to the end and I am buzzing
There's nothing nicer then getting to talk to my guy in the early morning. Edit: Congrats Ruth! That must feel great!
It is awesome. Just brought an Ipod nano (new ones) for half the Aussie price (US site) with free delivery. And brought half a dozen pair of jeans (though took a while to get my size, and decent ones) for $20, free delivery. Frigging awesome.
@Ruth-Congrats! Me is envious! @Lydia-I totally get what you mean! We usually ignore each other in school, well okay I ignore him, but today I entered the school from the front gate(where he comes from) instead of the back(like I usually do). And I saw the back of his head. It's a good thing I recognise it , since we started with our winter unis today and he does not have the geen liners on his sleeve anymore(he's a prefect). Well, I walked past him ignoring him(I know lol). But I was happy! And then I talked to him in the line again. Well okay made fun, he's going to crucify me for it, but it was cool! And then tommorow we have a combined Physics class together. I'll ask him to sit near us . I think he's cute, my friends don't. I'll send you a link, you tell me please? Brutally. Though it'll have no effect at all . I'm pretty far gone! @James-Congrats on the Nano. My bff got it recently too, thou she did not buy it for the features. She just bought it because she had to get one anyways. But it's cool. And cool about the jeans too .
If you think he's cute, who cares what your friends think. Isn't that all that matters? What you think?
Oh I don't care what they think. . Lol just today two people called me blind, but I die for just one smile. Or in his case, a wink, his trademark acknowledgement gesture. Lol, I have also now learnt to say VJ/Nauka/Lee/Tripti/Dushyant(code names, though they're no help since he knows all but two)'s soooooo cute. And then add (for me) . But then I am known for being shameless .
That sounds really cool! I'd never get a whole sleeve, but I have another tattoo I want to get. Alas, Joel doesn't want me to get it, but maybe someday... Posted in the picture thread. Don't be mad, Rob, we all love your beard! Cool people beards rule. Creeper people beards drool? Joel's employer makes him keep his goatee trimmed, but he doesn't have to be cleanshaven. Apparently employees there used to not be allowed to have any facial hair at all. Kinda weird to me...but then, I also think it's silly how strict they are at my job about dress code. I adore that you have a spoiler within a spoiler here. And I'm glad you've had such a good experience working with the theater!! Amen, my friend. Neha, I'm glad you don't care what others think, all that matters is that you're happy!
Meeting a freshman made me think of my own time as a freshman, when everything was new, unfamiliar. I still remember doing my first paper. It was for the Equiano book we had to read in our history class and all the directions said was "discuss the book". Not sure what to do, I just wrote what was essentially a Cliffnotes version of the book. To think that in the span of three years I go from getting a C from basically summerizing the plot in my own words to writing a 10-paged paper on Russian autocracy and recieving an 88? Miracles do happen.
CONGRATULATIONS, MISSOURI! **fanfare** I cant believe I forgot to look it up before today --on November 2nd, election day in the United States, in the state of Missouri a proposition known as Prop B was passed with enormous citizen support. Passing Proposition B, otherwise known as the Puppy Mill Cruelty Prevention Act, is a huge step for Missouri, which is known for being the puppy mill capital of America (perhaps even the world? I'm uncertain on that bit), because it will provide better care of the tens of thousands of breeding dogs and the 1,000,000+ puppies kept in kennels in Missouri alone. In one year, commercial breeders are expected to provide adequate amounts of food, water, and shelter to their animals. Can you believe it was legal to deprive them of nourishment and space before now?! Additionally, veterinary checkups are mandatory and a set limit on the number of animals a commercial breeder can own will be enforced. Do I have hope that the law will be enforced? ...Mmm, not to the degree it should be, but just the fact that the prop was passed with overwhelming citizen support is very positive. Southerners aren't known for respecting or caring for animals as well as they should be, so this is a big deal that one of the states that with the worst animal cruelty statistics is finally making some changes, and citizens are becoming more aware! So happy for the puppies. WELL, DONE MISSOURI!
Despite the rubbish weather, I had a good day with my friend today. And we went to a pub with a parrot, it was so cool.
Conan. TBS. After 9 long months. TONIGHT. *TONIGHT!!!!!* I can't wait. I can't wait I can't wait I CAN'T WAIT ICAN'TWAITICANTWAIT!!!!!!
ha ha ha ha ha FINE. EDIT: I'm happy because I had a great day at work. That is wonderful! What a major step toward stopping animal cruelty That sounds so fabulous! Charlie, I don't know who David Warner is, but your job sounds so exciting!
Miracles do indeed happen. That is awesome, Link! It's one of those times where you think, "Yeah, I really am that good at something."
I just downloaded "The Infernal City" onto Kindle! It's an Elder Scrolls novel set fifty years after Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion!
Lulz. I'm going to call you Charlie from now on, Xe. Work has been going pretty well the past couple of days. I'm sure it's because the bane of my existence my ASM has been off, so tomorrow will no doubt be nothing but a headache, but still...it's been nice. And Joel dropped me off at work and picked me up today, fixed my car, and made me nomly dinner. Lovely night.
