:D That is the coolest. My bf and I did a LOTR marathon at the cinema last year for Valentine's day, and it was so awesome. Enjoy it! x

I'm VERY happy right now, mostly because I'm not reading for a test. I'm also happy because I just had the BEST, I mean mouth watering, so good you could scream, nearly orgasmic piece of carrot cake. Yes it was that good.

I have to be positive. Things aren't as bad as they seemed. And things have to get worse before they get better.

It's amazing the perspective the right friend puts things in. She yelled and screamed at me. And I deserved every second of it. But dang. It did me a whole lot of good.

Just found out that Disturbed will be touring Australia with, As I Lay Dying.

Playing at Acer. So it should be awesome hearing 20,000 chant with, The Sickness.

Only downfall is, Trivium is playing. Oh well, can't have it all go my way.

After a long day of horrible awfulness and crying, I spent a few hours talking to a wonderful amazing friend who has stood by me through lots of crap and put up with lots of my crap. And I just love her.

I have spent the last half hour looking through old PMs, and I just remembered how much I love the people here.

Oh, props to Hiddennovelist (Heather!) to talking me through getting blood drawn.

Interzone and Black Static arrived this morning, as did a new PS3 controller. I managed to get my introduction for my dissertation fully planned (the only reason it hasn't actually been the introduction proper has been because I've not been able to get on Westlaw because uni's login doesn't work). And I might just be able to get to the HTFC v MK Dons match next week. Maybe I won't have to miss my first game in 12 years.

3 short stories and an interview with him, as well as a story he recommended. Just read the interview thus far, I'll be waiting until I have a bit more time before getting stuck in to the stories.

I just finished a story in two days. At 4300 words, it's the longest one I ever wrote.

I went kayaking today in the local Aquatic Center's indoor pool with my gym class (PE Adventure Ed is the best class EVER!) and it was AMAZING. First time kayaking, and it was awesome! I even did a wet exit -- where you flip the kayak upside down and get out underwater. We all paddled around the pool, splashing each other and playing games (one of them involves running over the upturned kayaks in the water as a relay race). I also pretended I was a pirate. :D

You're brave, Gigi. Kayaking freaks me out. I'm all about the canoes, man.

Joel and I are sitting on the couch, watching Holy Rollers and knitting. Both of us. Knitting. It's awesome.

Neither do I, but we're doing a white elephant gift exchange with Joel's family like the week before Christmas, and I decided I wanted to put together a box full of knitted goods. Means a lot of knitting...we went to the movies last night, and I was knitting the entire time. :) It was awesome.

^Oh cool! I found a fellow knitter who can practically knit without looking! Eee! My parents think it's crazy that I can knit and not actually look. But it's like second nature to me now. Hmm...Christmas is coming soon :D

I'm a little bit sad, but for a good reason, and after yesterdays fiasco with my daughter (still so wild about it), I really needed something good to happen.

This afternoon ends the 4 year reign of Hunka Junka (my laptop). She is to be retired to Dan's Man Cave, and our new desktop computer is to take her place. HJ has seen me through many events in over the last four years, and I'll be sad to see her retired, but we have a really fancy desktop from the school that we got for $200, that is worth a whole lot more. YAY!

Also, only two days till my mother and father in-law arrive. Can't wait.
