Thank ya! As an Indiana resident, I wasnt losing sleep over admission, but Indiana University, like Marina mentioned, is getting more and more selective as it grows in its quality (it really is a great school, especially for business and music; I'll be entering the School of Arts and Sciences, but it's still a fabulous program the school runs), and expects a lot of incoming students to have a 3.5+ GPA (I've a 3.4). I am just so relieved that I am going somewhere next autumn. Hooray!
Our university here, University of Washington, is getting more selective as well. I think there are a lot of benefits of going to your state university if your funding is limited rather than coming out after 4 or 6 or more years with a gigantic education bill and likely higher taxation. UW is ranked #10 in the nation for its Computer Science & Engineering program.
I'm happy because Mercury is having yet another revote. They may stay in FDL yet...... I just wish they'd make up their minds.
Thanks, everyone! Now if only I was going this year... 51 weeks 'til! (That sounds a lot shorter. Whoa.) I'm only slightly afraid that now that I've got a lock, senioritis is going to start kicking in... hard. Hahah. I should know if I'm into Kenyon by December or January. Those cold winter months never sounded so desirable.
Congrats, Merc!! And best of luck with the next revote, Gigi. Hopefully this revote will improve things! A customer at work today told me that I had beautiful eyes. Made me happy.
Today I got information about an AWESOME scholarship for my Exchange Student program for either Paraguay, Costa Rica, or Ecuador. By awesome, I mean only having to pay $4,000 awesome. There may be hope after all!!
Double post? Really? No one has been happy in the last two hours? Have you ever been in one of those moods where you're like "everything must be cleaned!"? Is that just me? Does anyone else love it like I do? I'm in such a cleaning frenzy right now, it's exhilarating.
Haha thanks, R-dawg. It doesn't happen to me often, but when it does...ooh, it's fun. I'm probably a little scary, but I wouldn't know. There's no one here to tell me. I got a new quote! This also makes me happy.
Agreed, Chimmy. I'm happy because I just think it'll be a good day. Hopefully, I won't be proven wrong.
YAY! My aunt gets to go work in the deaf/sign class again. She did not like the autism class one bit.
Yay, Gi! I'm happy because Steph had her baby today. Shelby, the newest addition to the clan, is happy and healthy, although she doesnt like to eat very much. Steph is my best friend's sister-in-law, and I take care of their son sometimes.. they're like my second family. So I'm happy that I got to visit with my second fam for a bit. Everyone but Steph, Jase, and Baby are headed back to Ohio tomorrow though.. *tears* It was a good day. I kind of want a baby now.
