Tell you what, Tor. I'll send some of my weight your way...that way you can gain, I can lose, and we'll both be happy! Actually, one of my New Year's Resolutions this past year was to get down to 125. I didn't make it, but I got to 128, which is close enough for me. I lost twenty pounds this year! Yay! I'm glad to hear you got your housing situation worked out. There's enough going on when you're getting ready to start college without adding stress about where you'll be living to the mix! Congratulations, Amity! My younger siblings have all had a hard time with bed-wetting (the youngest still has to wear a pull-up), so I know how difficult it is. Good for her!
Sounds good to me! And well done on getting so very close to your target weight Hidden. Losing weight is not an easy task, so losing 20 pounds is definitely something to be proud of. Way to go! Yes, bed wetting is very difficult. Hence why we are making such a huge deal over her not wetting the bed. Today I honestly couldn't be more proud of her.
Two things. Firstly, my book that I thought was going to end at 14 chapters is looking like it's going to be 20. Secondly, my babysiting gig is over and I'm $150 richer! Favorite kid/parent convo: Kid: "I hate you!" Father: "We don't say that, remember?" Child: "I don't like you!" *Father leaves so as to avoid distress*. Child, now sobbing: "I want my father! I want my father now!" Imagine 2 days of this - but it's over now.
Haha, the joys of babysitting. Pretty sweet that they paid you so much, though! The people I used to babysit weren't that generous. YAY! I love your pictures. Awesome, Em! Have fun!
I am happy because it is going to be 2010 in just a few short hours!!!!! I'm so excited for the celebrations, and New Year's. I can't wait to see what history will be written in the Book of 2010. Considering the Book of 2009 wasn't all peaches and cream. Although 2009 had a lot of excellent things in it as well. I guess my wish is just to supersize the good and downsize the bad. Don't we all want that?
Happy about plans for tonight, happy that my brain/heart have finally moved on past someone I cared way too much for, and thrilled to have my little den to call my own. I just need to paint the walls red and I shall be in total bliss.
Mom just walked in with New Year's top hats and noise makers. We're hanging up the banner from last year. My celebration can now begin. I'm known for throwing pretty awesome parties. My parents go bowling or to a bar or club to celebrate with their friends and I organize a party with a banner, streamers, balloons, hats and noisemakers. Kids varying in age from just a year younger than me to a few years old come. I prefer that kind of party, just having fun with the kids.
I'm happy because I am making progress and finally understanding the plot of my new Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility Wii game. And also, in case you haven't heard..... IT'S NEW YEAR'S!!!!! *blows noisemaker and drinks champagne, then takes big bite of New Year's cake*
I have no plans because I am sicksicksick; I cant breathe properly and each of my four limbs really hurts to move, but in the end that's probably a good thing because I'm also irritated, so I'm happy that I didnt make plans this year. I'm really happy this year will be over soon. I know the significance of December 31st fading into January 1st is mostly symbolic, but sometimes that's all you need for an attitude makeover, and I sorely need one. And 2010 will have a lot of great experiences for me that I'm happy about. Spring Break, prom, graduation, graduation night, an extended summer, and a beginning to my career as a university student. Yay.
I'm so excited for you, Merc--this is gonna be a year you'll never forget!!!! Just remember to treasure it all, take plenty of pictures, and never forget where you came from or what you did to get to where you are today. Appreciate it all.
Today I'm happy because in less than an hour it will be 2010. And I've gone another year without commiting suicide or touching the bottle. Way to go me!
I'm ringing in the new year with Joel, my brother and his wife, and my little nephew. It's been a good night.
I am happy because I am 11 minutes into 2010 and LOVING IT!!! Gonna be a great year, I can feel it. This decade will be AMAZING!!!
Gigi, you have made me laugh. You are just so excited about the New Year and seeing it through. Happy New Year Gigi. I'm glad you are in such a happy mood and I really do hope that the New Year is amazing for you. *hugs*
Happy new year! I am prepared to do whatever it takes to make this one worthwhile because it's MY year! Question for Americans: If all of those New year's shows are live, do they host the show three times? Do they drop the ball three times? Or do they have 3 different balls spread across the land? Or is it only live for Eastern folk, since that's where they drop the ball? I'm so confused. I feel like this is somethign I should know, but dont.
I suspect only the first one is live, since last year, I watched it play like three times before midnight. But that seemed like some weird, glitchy thing, so who knows? I could be wrong.
Thanks Tor! I'm just so full of joy because we all get to start a brand new year, and there's so much positive energy all around the world. After 2009 and its challenges, we're full of high hopes and expectations for 2010, and I just know we can fulfill them if we try. They drop the ball live in NYC. I know because they dropped it at midnight there, but it was only 11 PM where I'm at. They drop it once only, so it's live for the East Coast. Then you watch the Vegas party with updates from NYC until 1:11 AM, usually.
