On my holidays I did a blood test, and being a vegan is a most! Results? My doctor said this: cholesterol very good, calcium very good, iron very good, B12 very good. You have a daughter (doctor said to my mother) that knows how to take care of herself, so yeah basically everything is fine :D. I shown to my brother and he said, your cholesterol is making me jealous ehehe.

LD, if you don't mind my asking, how long have you been a vegan?

Not at all :) I have been a vegan one year and a couple of weeks. And no, I do not take a B12 vitamin, I drink fortified milk with B12 and eat time at time vegetable cheese with that as well from Violife. I believe it is a bacteria but a good one.

Oh well, I love coffee and even that I cut it, but there are one for our diet so not a problem :p. Alcohol... I remember loving a very sweet alcoholic drink, but I don't know how to write it and a good black beer. I also cut it on coka colla and that drinks, now I prefer natural drinks but home made :p

I eat quite a bit of meat and my cholesterol is fine, too.

Not saying being vegetarian isn't a healthy choice for OTHER reasons, but as I understand it, unless you're specially sensitive for some reason, dietary cholesterol doesn't have much of an effect on blood cholesterol.

Bowel cancer, though? Veganism all the way!

@BV, that's true, if your cholesterol isn't high anyway then it's not an issue for you.
