The most upbeat songs you have ever heard!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Lucy E., Oct 20, 2008.

I did one for sad songs, so now it's upbeat songs time!

    I'd have to go for:

Miranda Cosgrove feat. Drake Bell - Leave it All to Me

Boy Meets Girl - Waiting for a Star to Fall

Various Artists (because, let's face it, loads have done this song) - Walking on Sunshine

    Van Morrison - Brown-Eyed Girl

    NBB - Banana Smoothie

    Take That - Shine

Hehe, I just had "King for a Day" by Green Day on. That's fairly upbeat (and amusing) :p

I'm too lazy to think of all the songs that are really upbeat to me, but I do know that whenever I hear "Hey Ya!" by OutKast (a song I am otherwise neutral about), it always makes me tap my foot.

I wouldn't say most upbeat, but the first take comes to mind is Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger.

Although the lyrics aren't necessarily upbeat in all cases, the beat and the instrumental parts are. In most cases, the instrumental parts and the way the lyrics are song someone make them sound upbeat.

-Gravemakers and Gunslingers by Coheed and Cambria
-Once Upon Your Dead Body (not nearly as emo as it sounds :) ) by Coheed and Cambria
-Let's Dance To Joy Division by The Wombats
    -Thrash Unreal by Against Me

I actually have "That's not my name" by the Ting Tings stuck in my head. It's quite upbeat, but is beginning to get on my nerves.

Why Can't I Be You by The Cure is sickeningly upbeat. Same with Just Like Heaven also by The Cure.

I don't really listen to many upbeat tunes though so it's hard to say. After that, the closest I can come is Almost Human by Voltaire, but it's not half as upbeat as the last two I mentioned. Beyond that I'd just be naming pop stuff I don't listen to.
