Speaking of being proud to be an American. This song is usually on my radio around independence day, Good to drink a beer to and stare at old glory swaying in the summer breeze underneath a setting sun.
That's a very nice rendition, not at all what I expected from the artwork. An old friend of mine, now gone, proposed this as a new national anthem once upon a time. He wasn't a fan of Lee Greenwood.
I like to listen to this mix at night with the lights dimmed down. Makes me feel....cool (cos I'm not). Edit - Phone done goofed, fixed now.
I'm in love! are the 3 words I hope to hear next year. Another place another time another twinkle in eyes caught between awkward glances in crowded social scenes, another breeding ground for apathy to tire me into indifference. Now that I'm numb to places I had run from. Know when you're wrong it's cos you're fallible just like everyone. Just stuck between a lampshade and the drunk. Sentenced to an evening as the party entertainment's prop. Oh but it's only you that I am thinking of. Please return to me, cos it's so... So hard to take that I might break. I'm discovering that there's so much to consider worthwhile, but most of all I've learned to hate that I'm still stuck on you. If time has taught us this much, it's that honesty is the cornerstone of trust. Well to tell the truth I'm tired of watching clocks, waiting for endings of evenings that never seem to stop. Enough! In short I've come back to the places I had run from. You saw it all fall to pieces, now it's so...
It`s SPRING....kinda. Found this today it`s something. Made me think, of @Cave Troll . In a good way, not...yeah. and then my official song for the day.
Thanks for this, might do some work to this later. Makes me feel like a dame about to walk into my office needing my aid.
This should have been on the US version of Blizzard of Ozz. One of the top 10 metal albums of the 80's, but this track would have, impossibly, improved it.
That's how I feel about "In the City" by the Eagles. Should have been on But Seriously Folks for sure.
The greatest Australian rock band ever (if you don't include AC/DC, since they were all born in Scotland, but formed is Australia). They were pretty much unknown outside of that country, but have a small cult following. Even the most avid 70's rock fans have never heard of them. But they're up there with the greats.
