Let's try a weird mix of metal/rocking songs. I like these dudes. They're bold with their own sound, strangely retro and joyous. If your cat dies while you're listening to this, you'll loot the corpse for gold. No one's written more CDs than Buckethead. I do believe he holds a world record. It's not normal, but neither is he. I like this kind of blue collar punk. It's cool. Also good. In the same vein. (That's a strange idiom when you consider it.)
I just recently saw The Charismatic Voice analyze this very video: Is it just me, or does Janice look a bit like Meatloaf down there in the corner?
The first time I heard her I was twelve and an older brother brought home Cheap Thrills by Big Brother and the Holding Company.
Knew this guy personally, as I studied with him privately, in music school back in the early 90’s. This is probably my favorite album of his: My second favorite: Mikes Davis, with Jackie McLean: Jackie, with Dizzy Gillespie’s Paris All-Stars:
The only thing they crushed was this poor Chicago tour boat when they dumped 800 pounds of poop on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Matthews_Band_Chicago_River_incident
Recently came across the album Far Cry by Eric Dolphy. I've loved his more famous Out to Lunch for years but I think I might like this one even better.
My assessment of their music? Yes. Unfortunately those 800 pounds of poo constituted an incontrovertible fact for the unhappy passengers of that sightseeing boat.
