Right now, I'm listening to a lot of Rise Against, The Human Abstract, and Say Anything with a little bit of Dream Theater, Coheed, and Tool mixed in.
Rise Against is one of my favorite bands! What're your favorite songs by them? My top 5 would be: Re-Education (Through Labor), Ready To Fall, Prayer of the Refugee, Swing Life Away, and The Good Left Undone.
Rise Against is a great band, but a little too... obvious about their opinions. Like Re-Education (Through Labor) is against Bush etc. (i think) my favorite songs are 1. Prayer Of The Refugee 2. The Good Left Undone 3. Drones 4. Re-Education (Through Labor) 5. Worth Dying For
Against Bush? It has nothing to do with Bush (although I believe some of their songs may be against him, that song doesn't.) It's about the slave labor in China, which is actually called Re-Education Through Labor.
You know, I've always liked Rise Against the Machine, but I never listened to them much. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Silent Hill music, and Yann Tiersen.
Rage against the machine used to do the best concert. Not there back together i wish they release a new alb. Going to Soundwav tomorrow (with 40,000 other people). its overcast and i'm pretty sure going to rain all tpmorrow. Mud/slush moshputs are so not me anymore.
There's no such band as Rise Against the Machine. There are two bands, Rise Against, and Rage Against the Machine. You meant Rage Against the Machine, right?
I love Snow Patrol - going to to see them in 2 days - can't wait! . But I also like Imogen Heap, also known as Frou Frou, Jem, Muse, Finger Eleven, Aqualung, The Postal Service and Mika and The Scissors Sisters, cause they're just fun.
I'm looking at burning a new writing cd, and need track suggestions. I listen to just about anything. Minus techno, rap, and things with excessive amounts of screaming. And I love songs with good lyrics. Suggestions?
I've just realised that The Gost of Stephen Foster is very Remix-able, it's just no one has done it...
Soundwae was almost awsome. And i almost..... killed soem people! Had to wait in line for 2 hours with 20,000 people because they screwed up on how to get people into the venure. Saw a bit of music, best gigs on the day where Alice in Chains and Lamb of God OMG Lamb of God can play live! they nailed it. I have to see some british band on friday called Mcfly, i'm not happy, they sound ...boring.
Oh my GOD Speedy you poor thing. They're so cheesey and tame! You're gonna hate it lolol ..not to put you off of course
Yeah, gimme British Carcass or Led Zep But mcfly, can mcflyoff Sorry Em If i was a girl, maybe, but....
Well i spent 3 hours in que at a festival (to get in) and people kept passing out, getting escorted to safety..... could be on to something. There is a chance i MAY get out of this.... I will still have to be within 100 miles though, but god... i'll be good forever if i can miss it.
Does anyone else like the Lonely Island's new album, 'Incredibad' as much as I do... or am I all alone... *tumbleweed*
Just had to say, on the name alone, I cannot stand Mcfly. On the same grounds, wtf is a Lady Gaga? LOL! ....anywho, lately I've been really into the Smashing Pumpkins. I've been a fan for a while now, but just lately I've noticed I've been listening to them a lot more than usual. I think I've gained a new appreciation for the album "Adore". Annie Dog, anyone?
anyone here heard of Edward box? this dude is a fudging (the f word gets **** out, so i'm going oldschool) guitar god, his album moon fudge is one of the best instrumental albums i've ever heard, ever. i'm also listening to panzerballet (a fusion of rock and jazz) and cake. cake if fudging sweet. look at the bright side, at least your neighbors don't declare war every time a good band comes over to play in your country. i mean it, ever time a band i like decides to come to Israel something happens and the concert gets canceled.
Been a big fan of Smashing Pumpkins since day one. Though over the years their reputation has been lowered (had been until they were no more) I wasl ucky enough years ago to see them at centrpoint tower with 50 other people for a full gig. A great time.
That would suck - my sympathies... (My biggest complaint is that most of the artists I like, if they actually come out to Aus., only tour the three big cities and ignore lil ol' Adelaide... >_>). At least this year looks set to have some great new album releases - Tori Amos, Massive Attack, Depeche Mode... to name a few. (Particularly happy about the new Tori Amos album, apparently each song will be accompanied by a 'visualette', done in doucumentary style, something of an increasing trend lately - visual accompaniments to the audio, sometimes to the extent of full-length feature films. Which is awesome ).
