I dropped my photos off at the Faire. I got to experience a phenomenon my husband calls "The Faire Witch" only he didn't say witch. All the men were super nice. She was kinda pretentious and didn't want to accept that the mix up between the label they had and teh artwork I was submitting might actually be partly their fault. Aw well. I have the pics submitted. The contest is judged on Monday. Wednesday I will see if I won anything.

 

Good luck, Carmina. Those were some amazing photos, I'll be surprised if you don't win on any of them.

 

I'm seriously starting to consider it. We've been trying to keep things personal (my aunt is the photographer, etc), so it would be really cool. And I think it would be fun! I can't cook to save my life, but I can bake pretty well. This could work...

Next Years Soundwave Festival was announced tonight. It was a very lame and sad list indeed.

Not shocking, just for a festival that carters for all, metal heads got speared in the balls bit time.

Big Day Out better have a kick arse header (Even if they don't i'll go to it instead).

Im havign a bad day with music news today. *Sigh*

 

Steve had his interview yesterday. The lady who interviewed him promised he would hear form her this morning. Then, she called in sick. So we are still waiting. Steve is all pissed and stressed out. It wouldn't be a big deal if she hadn't promised he would hear today. Got his hopes all up. Now I have stressed out, pissed off, unhappy husband to take care of.

 

That really stinks. I hate when jobs tell you they'll contact you on a specific day because they never do. At my job, after I interviewed they said they would call me the next Monday. A month later, they finally called...the day before I was supposed to be starting another job. Same thing happened to my sister. They told her they would call the next Monday, and it took like three weeks. People should just say "ok, we'll be in touch with you sometime in the next two to thirty days."

Sadly the whole "Get back to you is asap" is a load of bull. Ther bigger the business your applying for the bigger the crap sandwitch they hand feed you (with that nice big grin of theirs).

My misses applied for one of the top gun firms in the city once, they said to her expect a phone call monday morning, around 8 sharp (It was friday the interview)

They called her back 3, months later (in whiuch time she had a job) saying she was unsuccessful. I wonder if they actually think people sit and wait by the phone for 3 months!

 

Les Paul died! I gotta say, he had a hell of a run. RIP Les...

There's a medicine I have to take every day. When I forget to, it causes me to have nightmares. Well, I forgot to take it yesterday and had an endless number of nightmares last night. Now all I want to do is sleep.

 

That's not fun, Marina. You should take a nap. And don't forget to take your medicine tonight!

Speaking of nightmares - I had one last night about results day, which is next thursday I'm so scared that I've done badly. In my dream, my results were all series of numbers that I couldn't decipher, and I had the paper in my hand but all I could do was scream and panic because I couldn't work out what the numbers meant, and so I never found out if I'd made it to Uni.
