Went shopping with mom. Slipped in parking lot sludge. Landed on face. 3 stitches in chin. My show opens tomorrow. I can barely move my jaw. Yay me!

Damn, Jen. You're due for a break, but not THAT kind of break. :(

Maybe you'll feel a bit better tomorrow... A long shot, I know.

    Man that sucks!

Thanks guys...at least it is the underside of my chin so it won't show too bad if it scars.

Don't worry, I've got six stitches under my chin. They are pratically invisible.

I hope you luck changes Carmina. Bocca lupo tonight. Tell us how it went!:)

    That was my initial thought.

He is her biological father, and I don't want to stop him seeing them as it could result in a court case and for many other reasons. I just feel that they do need to know who he is. They don't see him often, so hopefully we can find a way to make it easier for her when she does. It's horrid to think that she has anxiety issues over seeing him really. Poor little girl.

In one sense, yes it would. But in another, I feel that it would be a bad idea. If she has issues now, it could escalate and I'd rather help her to overcome this issue now before she is older, and the anxiety cause her more problems. It is always better to face a fear and overcome it than to run away from it and have it one day come after you and cause you to be a complete mess.

Oh Carmina, I am so sorry darlen! I hope that it heals quickly and the pain eases off for you before tomorrow.

Woke up at 4. Painkillers wore off. Chin swelling up. Neck and back starting to hurt too. Whiplash? I don't know why all this bad stuff has been happening. One friend told me that when one bad thing happens and you are still reeling from it...you can't focus on being cautious or watching out for yourself and other things can happen. I guess that is true. I continued to go to the theater so I would have a reason to get out of the house and do something productive every day. I got sexually assaulted by the theater owner. I went poking around the thrift stores with m y mom to avoid being home alone and wallowing in self pity. I fell in the parking lot and split my chin like an over-ripe peach. Maybe staying in bed is the safest thing. Too bad I can't sleep.

I think it could be a good thing. I mean, it's not good that she needs to go, but I think it could really help. Especially if her therapist is a good one. Kid therapy is really different than adult therapy. :) Lots of games and coloring.

My massive literature project is not coming along at all. And I have to turn it in a week early cause I'm going out of town, which will not help at all. :(

Massive strikes from every single union today, marches and clashes with the police all over town, an explosive session in the parliament, and tv analyzing a... sex scandal. A hero of wwii sent to hospital by a policeman, and generally the future is dark. I refuse to feel unhappy yet, but I'm getting there.

Sounds like it's time for a vacation. Even if it's just a cheapy car camping trip somewhere very isolated and beautiful.

You should split the gas with mina. I'm afraid things there will get much much worse.

    Edit to add:
These are the kind of things that make me not happy....well the thought that they are probably true:

“Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible. Even if all are miserable, all will believe themselves happy, because the government will tell them that they are so.” –Bertrand Russell, The Impact of Science on Society (1952)

I'm not happy because I forgot to take my sleeping medicine last night... and I'm regretting it. I'm taking it tonight.

I got a tetanus shot on Thursday after my face plant into parking lot sludge. My arm has been getting progressively more swelled ever since. Right now it is like having half a baseball painted red and stuck onto my arm. Hurts like an S.O.B.

Ouch! I had to get a tetanus shot after severely burning my arm with bacon grease, and it hurt really bad and was hard to use for a couple days, but nothing like that! I hope the swelling goes away soon!

Hopefully your legs stop being sore by tomorrow, then! Good luck!

I'm definitely out of the 4 o'clock kick-off today. My knee's swollen up and extremely stiff. There's just no sense in risking it, especially as I want to be fit for the match on Thursday. Still, I'm disappointed to have not been able to play again. But then, 3 games in 6 days would probably have been pushing it, given my lack of fitness at the moment.

I feel sad. Keep having vivid nightmares about my Mum and they continueously wake me up in the middle of the night. I feel like a household slave too, all I do is cook and clean, my brother never helps. Can't get a break away either. I'm not allowed to go anywhere during the week because I can't leave him alone for more than 5-6 hours a time.

All my other 20 year old friends get to go out with their boyfriends/mates whenever they like, whilst I have to wait until Saturday for the opportunity to see mine. Even then I don't really get to spend anytime with him because he has to leave Sunday evening because he has college the next morning and it's not like I can go back to his with him. I was going to suggest maybe he could stay the night and leave Monday morning, but he recently told me he wants to do rollerderby with his friend on Sunday evenings. I don't mean to interfere with his ambitions but what about me? He suggested I come along and try it out, but he's seemingly forgotten that I have to take care of my brother, and that it's impossible for me to just 'let him stay at a friends house overnight'.. like come on, what kind of parent is going to let my brother stay with their son overnight when school is the next morning?

Anyway, I'm gonna go cry about the fact I'm 20 and I have the responsibilities and freedom of a 45 year old single mother.

Due to my pain-in-the-neck Renaissance literature project, I dreamed all night about Shakespeare and am exhausted. :p Why is it that I always feel compelled to put off projects until the last minute? That has to change. HAS TO. >:-(

Please don't cry Eoz, I'm so sorry about your mom. Mine died too, but I was only 5, I can't even hardly remember her. Remember that you're never alone and that you always have your family...and us:rolleyes:. If you need someone to talk to I'm a good listener, you can vent on me:redface:

Eoz, how old is your brother? I don't know if there's any reason involving diablities and whatnot, so I apologise if their is; but if he's aged 11+, then I think he's old enough to pull his weight along with you, even if it's just cleaning the house.

It's a horrible shame that you both lost your mum, but she had two children. It's about time he learnt how to take on responsibilities like a young man. Even if all he did was keep the house tidy for you, that'd be something. I don't see any reason as to why he should be causing problems for you, other than the fact that you can't leave him on his own for too long....but that's just a pain, I guess.

If he's still a little boy, then I guess you should ignore most of what I just said. Except for the part about keeping things tidy - he can learn to do that atleast.

Anyway, keep your chin up x
