You're thinking of melanin, which is the skin pigment. There are two essential chemicals to sleeping: melatonin and serotonin. Melatonin makes you sleep. Serotonin wakes you up. .....I think.

I have recently realized that I have no female friends. I literally only hang out with guys and this has been turning me into a cocky douche bag. I haven't had a girlfriend in more than a year. I try to talk to girls, they always think I'm coming on the them and I get nervous because I sort of am and then I stop. It is terrible knowing that you only have one or two good friends. I just want some contact.

I have liked a girl for almost a year, but I tried to be slow with it and not rush it because I didn't want to mess things up. I would talk to her almost every day for a few minutes put my arm around her and joke around with it, it would keep me from going insane. She now has a boyfriend two grades above me and I can't touch her without everyone yelling at me for "coming onto her." I can't stand seeing her talk to her boyfriend, and she seems to know I like her. Whenever I would pass by them hugging or holding hands in the hallway she would seem delighted to get me jealous and almost smirk at me. That or I am already insane.

I have food and water everyday and I should be thankful for that, but I have been spoiled and now ungrateful for my blessings. It is hard to relate to other people in other countries who suffer because I have never been out of the country. I don't think I am very attractive. I don't think I am ugly, just somewhere in between. It really shows me how shallow our society is.

Sorry for the emo post, but I just had to get it out.

    UUGGHHH!!!!

I was in the shower, shampooing my hair, and I turn around to see this bloody horrible spinder creeping down the tiles  I nearly broke my neck leaping from the shower haha.

I had to quickly wash the shampoo off whilst gazing up at it, then throw a towel on and get the hell out haha. All the while i'm doing this, the horrible thing is crawling towards me. I was too scared to spray it incase it leaped at me :(

    I HATE SPIDERS.

It was one of those ones with a small body (thought this one's was big actually!) and huge craning legs - Daddy long legs I think?

It was shuddering, as if ready to pounce - I've actually had spiders leap at me before.

But ewww -the thought of it getting tangled up in my hair and raspberry shampoo made me squeal. I just couldn't turn my back on it again

I think s[iders are scared of us, thats why they bite.

Next time you see one bite it before it bites you!

^ It was one of those, but it was actually really big for that type of spider.

It's still in the bathroom somewhere :(

You could just kill the thing or try to knock it into the drain.

Aw... I like spiders - the alternatives to not having them around are much scarier. O_O

(Well... the big, bird-eating spiders I'm not as great a fan of, at least not in close proximity to myself).

Yeah, least they eat the cockroaches and flies... which annoy me MUCH more.

The only thing that bothers me about spiders when i go for a run in the morning and because its dark i cant see where im going and i get a face full of web...the heartrate always goes a little faster after that.

I was on a camp in Victoria, and out late at night I saw the biggest spider I've ever had the misfortune to see - they often describe bird-eating spiders as being the size of a plate - this one was party platter size!

My brother once told me... (**warning, probably not for the squeamish, or those who are eating**)

...that if flys were able to breed at a rate uninhibited by spiders and other predators, they would produce a maggot ball the size of the earth every few days. Ew!

I woke up at 4:30 with a nightmare in which my uncle was dead. He had been killed in a car accident. The family was all together in a restaurant. My uncle was there...but he was dead. No one else interacted with him. He was telling me to tell the people at the mortuary to put him in the box. He didn't like lying on the slab. Then the dream switched a bit and I was doing preparations for the funeral. I felt overwhelmed and I just started that kind of crying where you try to keep it in and your whole body shakes. Someone (random dream person) touched me on the back and asked me what was wrong. I told him that my uncle had been in an accident. The guy asked if he was ok. I said "No. He's dead." Then I started totally sobbing in the dream. Then I woke up. Not a good dream.

What an upsetting nightmare Carmina. Hate those, they dwell on your mind all day.

I once dreamt I was in a train crash and I was desperately searching for my parents. I found them - lying on the ground dead and mummified.

Another nightmare, I dreamt my mother-in-law was at her own funeral, which was taking place in some sort of cafe. The coffin was in the middle of the floor, she was sitting in one of the booth's. It went really weird after that with my hubby crawling under the carpet like a fish and for some reason he was wearing tan coloured cordouroy trousers.
