That, right there, is a pretty enlightening statement.

I realized that my JOAD (archery) group lessons are canceled for the next two weeks because they're holding championships, so I can't see my crush for a while...... :(

I remember being back in middle school when things like this actually mattered ha ha! jk jk. But really, I remember times when I liked certain people in middle school and in my first couple years of high school, and I would be slightly upset when they didn't show up or we went on break or whatever. Seeing our crushes just makes the world that much brighter.

As for this, at least these psychos don't fill your world. I don't mind having my psychos along the outskirts, it's the stupid people who get in that bug me. lol

I want an ebook copy of one of my favorite novels of all time, Stars in My Pocket Like Grains of Sand, by the gobsmackingly brilliant Samuel R. Delany for my Kindle. Is this too much to ask? It exists. I've seen it. I'm looking at page after page of different ebook sellers willing to sell... if I live in Australia. W T actual F? Only if I live in Australia? Why? No, no, don't talk to me about selling zones or anything remotely like that because that is just nonsensical. Another dinosaur holdover from days of paper and glue. Idiocy. Pure, abject idiocy. I own an aging print copy of the book, the pages turning that lovely shade of brown common to most American paperbacks of a certain age.

Shit like this is why good, honest, decent folk resort to pirating.

Seriously. It's crossing my mind. I'm so frustrated that no one will take my money. Not Amazon. Not Apple. Not the little independents. No one.

When I click on the same page, I see the listing, but over to the right where there's an inset window talking about the free Kindle app, above that square it tells me that this listing is not currently available for purchase. :(

:p Actually, after a little bit of online help and some technowizardry, I managed to get a hold of the item legitimately, insomuch as I paid for it, but not exactly from where I said I was paying. ;)

Didn't quite know where to put this thread so figured here would be best place but I am so upset and annoyed that I can't print any of my work off. I write my work up by hand, like one whole chapter, then I edit it in pen, and re-edit, as I find it quicker to read on paper and to scribble out and add and change, write in the margins and the usual! But then I type up the good piece onto my Google chromebook on Google docs. Which have spent ages doing already, but I went out today and bought an Epson printer which was Google cloud enabled. I've registered the printer on the Epson site and when I'm on line I can find the printers ip address fine, but I can't synch the printer with the chromebook and everywhere I've searched leads me back to one set of instructions that I can't even get past step one of. Step one is to "open up the printers config settings in a browser" - I don't know how to do that???? The next step is to enter the printers ip address - which I think is fine as I've found it - I think, and enter it, then the instructions tell you what to click on and 'seem' ok to follow, but I just don't know how to do it, so I'm stuck with my chromebook and my work typed up on it, and as yet I have a printer and still can't print anything off. :, ( sorry I'm venting here guys. If anyone can help me please do!!!

This might be better suited for "The Not Happy Thread" in the Lounge. Maybe one of the mods will move it for ya.

Anyway, what type of printer is it? Be as specific as possible (brand, series, model number). I might be able to help. I'm no computer/networking wiz, but I am pretty good at searching the internet and figuring things out.

You figured out the secret behind all of Disney's magic???? I didn't think it was possible! You are a worthy wizard.

@staceylouise Congratulations. I love when things fall into place. Coincidentally, my printer wouldn't print last night because an old file was backed up in the queue. I did some digging and found some directions on how to clear that up.

In other news, 3 flights of stairs right after leg day... no bueno... pas bon... whatever language you want to put it in lol

After hours of trying to figure things out, and get the right programs, I think I have figured out how to mine Litecoins. I do however know for sure that I have a headache.

@Andrae Smith Sometimes you gotta wait for the inspiration. Of course, it sucks if the deadline's tomorrow and you've got like 4 hours to finish it...

In other news, our piece-of-poo car is really pissing me off right now. It seems to be developing new malfunctions every day, and driving it is verging on an extreme sport. Not having a car resulted in a particularly adventurous trip back home from work yesterday: 40 min on the bus + 10 min metro + 20 min train + 10 min biking... And it was night-time already. On the bright side, I've come up with a new tactic to ward off unwanted company. I pretend to be French.

By car, the trip would've taken 30 min -- and I could've chosen the company. Grr.

It is my morning already over here in the pawpaw patch. :) I had one of those loooooovely dreams where the work you need to finish is what you're dreaming and I was roused by a sudden spike of panicky adrenaline at 3:30-ish.

And now, [IMG] So yes, I will dig you out. Like a backhoe! ;)

See, I was already tired from weightlifting earlier, so tonight would have been the perfect night so sleep. I don't quite mind being up, I just don't want to be writing this essay is all. I'm just whining. (Although, I'm glad to see the extreme form of 'motivation'.)

    This is the Prompt:
It should be 7 pages. That's not the longest paper I've written, but still. It's seven pages due at noon tomorrow (@KaTrian that gives me six hours unless I skip my 10:30 class)

    Also, this is funny:
Didn't think it worked that way. Sorry about the mega commute adventure though ha ha!
