Offer here, Link, we got plenty of snow to melt, beats shoveling it for certain.

Too much snow! And it's too cold. Can't even go sledding.

Maybe you can go tobogganing? Or is that the same, I'm frankly not familiar with snow based conveyances, haha.

Har har har! I'm in New England. Water freezes at 32 degrees F, and ice collects on the windows in the attic. This year's three blizzards (and counting) is enough to compensate for last year's mildness. Ugh, I'm so ready for spring to come. :( Thanks guys, hopefully the accumulation doesn't turn up too badly tomorrow morning. :)

Wait, water freezes at 32? It's gotten 32 a few times (normally it's high 60/low 40) and there's never been any ice, and Florida has lots of water.....

It is the same deal. :) There are squishy, inflatable toboggans and also black inflatable "donuts" that resemble pool-side inner tubes. Both make for a fun experience, but it has been far too cold to do anything except stay by the fireplace sipping hot chocolate and coffee. Pallas, we should totally go sledding when the weather improves!

Well, it's 24.1 degrees F here right now -- not too bad. Monday night it was -4. I don't know about Florida, and water freezing, but it's wicked cold out here! Pipes in my neighbors basement froze stiff Tuesday and then burst. . . not a good thing.

I'll probably the the one to go flying into the trees head first....
Chocolate sounds good though, I have this chocolate from the Andes that is so pure, you need a lot of milk to dilute it, haha, it is delicious!

And water usually retains a higher temperature than the air, so even at 32 degrees ambient, it would still need to get much colder for considerable ice to form.

At our sledding hill, there is a smallish creek near the base. . . My siblings and I have always come this close to falling in. :)

True. :) I meant it as an example for Agreen, since he goes by Celsius. Ah, but it does not matter what the temp is right now. I'm trying to keep fond memories of the summer in my mind. It is snowing this moment. . .

Thank you, Link. I needed a break from all this snow. It's piled up everywhere!

Negative 4? Jeeeez. I would, like, die or something.

Although snow is pretty awesome. I lived in a place with snow as a little kid. It sure beats gray, dreary and freezing rain with nothing to show for it (although the intense thunderstorms here are pretty cool).

I just remembered an old story idea I had. It was about this warrior who in the end is tasked by God to go to Hell and save the souls of the damned. Well something like that. So why am I not happy about this? Because I keep thinking there was more to this idea. A certain name for the warrior or the title I had pictured using for the book. For the life of me I just can't remember. Pretty sure if it was the title it started with an R.

I hate this. Its like one giant itch in the back of my mind I just can't scratch.

Holy crap I remember it! I actually remember it!! Gotta love when you come to rant about something and while thinking and trying to work it out it just sorta clicks.

The title/nickname for the warrior was Hell Reaver.

Yes, I nearly did die. :p

But at this point, I would gladly trade you a dreary rainstorm for a snowstorm Thursday. . . I don't mind a thunderstorm either. It reminds me of summer. And I bet the kind you get in Florida must be epic. :D

It hit the low -20s Celsius here over the weekend. I was out shoveling, and it was so cold my fingers were getting numb even through my gloves. Which is to say, snow is pretty but shoveling is one of the worst things in the world

On the upside there are some lovely icicles forming on the side of my house. At night, it almost looks like the roof is a cave.

Tell me about it. Shoveling isn't fun. Your toes feel like they're gonna fall off. And your face as well.

The worst is when you finish shoveling, go to sleep, wake up, and it's snowed again  At least it's been warmer this week.

I would trade places for a week. The humidity here has been stuck on 99% for a few days and i have no energy right now.

I think I'd take a number body for a week.

I don't think you'd survive. A body that goes from one extreme to the next would suffer quite terribly. And blah, humidity is horrible!

Come the hottest, most humid week of the summer I think the same thing. Aside from shoveling I prefer the winter, as long as it's above -15. Once it gets lower than that, I prefer staying home.

:) Going from heat to cool might be okay, but from -20 to whats here could possible do some damage.

Edit - I hate the heat, i hate having to swtich pillows over trying to find the cool spot. lol

My kids start back at school on Wednesday, after their long summer holidays and Dan starts back at work on Monday. It sucks. I'm going to miss having them all at home with me. I really don't want the holidays to end. It's pathetic, but I know the first day they are all at school and work, I'm going to be sat at home crying, because I miss them so much. The kids are looking forward to going back to school, especially Amity, but I'm not looking forward to it what so ever. The thought of it makes me sad. :(
