I had a really, really bad stomach flu yesterday and I was curled up in pain all day. I had to call in sick and now I'm behind on something really important.
Aw, I'm sorry, Mallory. :/ I hate it when I fall behind on things because of sickness! Hopefully you catch up soon.
The wind was a blowing, the snow was deep, and I had to shovel it. Actually the shoveling wouldn't have been to bad but the wind was strong and freezing. Only could find one glove. Luckily it was my right one so I could easily use my jacket sleeve for my left. But now I am tired and just want to curl up in bed. If only I was a water bender like in Avatar the last airbender... be done in a few seconds.
Google Image, Cyclone tracy. It's going to be bigger than that. Not the damage, but the cyclone. This just a few weeks after the flooding and 6+ billion dollar damage bill. And i mean really bad. Edit - We don't get many thank God. i know you get way to many down your way. They blow.
This is the first proper cyclone I'm going to have experienced since 2006, unless you count the last year's Category 1. Geez, it's hard to believe the biggest storm to ever make landfall in Australia is going to cross in a matter of hours... It's just such a nice day.
Larry was in 2006, wasn't it? Looks like Banana's are going up again. Maybe the levy, i mean tax, will double too if the government gets its way.
It's too cold, too windy, with too much snow. I have work i should get done. Alas, my mind is elsewhere.
I had a nasty surprise a few days ago. I have been living at my parents house since may, and switched my food habits to theirs. Not that they got any extreme food habits, just a bit heavier then mine. We an active family. But I was selling one of my suits of armor and needed to weight it to give the shippin cost, so for the first time since May I got out the bathroom weight and,,, Well. It was a suprise. 6kg /13 pounds up. Geeesh. I guess I got an excuse to switch back to my own eating habits once more.
I've been trying to contact a close friend about something important, and she hasn't checked her phone all day...it's getting frustrating. Arron -- Coolest comment ever.
Haha I was actually just thinking that, Arron. Don't think I've ever known anyone who owned suits of armor. Pretty friggin awesome. Mallory, sorry about your difficulty getting a hold of your friend. I'm in kind of the same boat, trying to get a hold of my sister about her wedding plans. Joel got upset with her about making me do all the work last Thursday, so she told him we would work on plans this past weekend (she came up with my family to see us). The entire weekend, she was either sleeping, sitting in my parents' van while the rest of us hung out, or texting her fiance. I don't think she said five words to me the entire weekend. I emailed her Sunday night, and she still hasn't answered. Interesting wedding planning strategy, considering she wants to get married in March.
How annoying. This is when you stop doing the work for her. It's not helping if you do everything without lifting a finger.
I think you guys are just really lucky to have one another to plan eachother's weddings, Hidden. Even if sometimes your sister takes that for granted. When it comes to my wedding, I'll be pretty much alone, barring Matt of course. And my family. I just hope one of my girlfriends is reliable enough to help me out when the time comes. I haven't a clue about any of this stuff, but your family seems to be the wedding experts!
Wait, did she do major work planning your own wedding for you? (Honey Badger) I mean, if she did, it might be a good idea to return the favor as Ashleigh pointed out. The impression I'd got was that the sister was just sitting around doing nothing and expecting Honey Badger do manage it all - wedding planning can be super stressful, right?
I actually did most of my own wedding planning. To clarify, I'm planning two of my sisters' weddings right now. My younger sister (my MOH, who did help me out when I needed it with my own wedding planning) is very helpful and actually apologized to me a few days ago because she said she felt like she wasn't doing much to help, which made me laugh. My older sister, however, is the one who isn't helping. She was a bridesmaid for my wedding and did next to nothing to help out (I had two people come to my bachelorette party because she was in charge of inviting people and didn't do it), so it's kind of irritating that suddenly now she expects me to bend over backward helping to plan her wedding. I don't mind doing most of the grunt work, but when she doesn't return my emails or even give me straight answers on wedding details, it makes planning anything incredibly difficult. Also, I'm handwriting all of their invitations, and halfway through them, she texted me and said that they might be changing their location. So...lovely.
I'm a bit discontent at the moment. I have been feeling this tingling, heat sensation along my right arm up to my pinky. And well from what I can tell, after some searching is that it is probably something with my ulnar nerve. While I have not suffered any injury that I can think of, I have noticed that the nerve actually pops out of its elbow groove every time I flex my arm like when I am typing and especially using the mouse. I guess this constant overlapping could be causing the discomfort. Has anyone had this experience before? The last thing I want is to incur some nerve damage...I need my fingers at full working order until I finish all my editing....
Could it be carpel tunnel syndrome? Or from your description, it sounds like you might have bumped your funny bone. Either way, I hope your arm gets better
The funny bone is certainly not being funny with me. I wouldn't mind, but a soreness starts to build up that really derails my concentration, and there is a lot to fix; my early chapters are so bad.... Thanks for the good vibes.... I checked carpal tunnel syndrome; but it seems to affect other fingers, which mine are fine.
Well perhaps take some Tylenol or put your wrist in a tight ace bandage. I know it will keep you from writing but it's probably better to let it rest especially in the long run.
Yes, I will reduce my work, take some anti-inflammatory, and look up some good stretching exercises. It's all I can do I guess. Thanks for the tips.
