    Have you got Toofy Peg?

    http://www.lloydspharmacy.com/en/toofypegs-emergency-temporary-repair-kit

That's one of those first aid things I always keep on hand for this very thing. I think you can buy it at Boots as well as Lloyd's.

Thank you for the tip, I will get some!

This has never happened to me before. I've never had any dental work done apart from cleaning, and the dentist always says how good and strong my teeth are. But this one was defeated by, of all things, a sandwich...

Oh, it's certainly disappointing when good teeth start to go bad. I was in my mid 40s and had been living in Scotland for nearly 10 years before I had my third cavity filled.

The first two were done by the same dentist, whom I saw twice during my young adult years, and each time he found something wrong. I now think he was actually 'at it.' I went to him twice - once when I was 14, and he found a cavity, and once again when I was 21 and he found another cavity. I think it's bizarre that all the dentists I saw before, during and a long time afterwards found nothing. I actually went 12 years without a checkup, and when I went the dentist found nothing wrong. So what was with him? He did the same thing to my sister as well. Grrr....

But yeah, there's always a first. What the hell was in that sandwich????

That's the worst part - it was a freakin' salad sandwich. Nothing harder than cucumber!

I've been to the dentist. He said it's such a small chip that it's not worth doing anything about, especially since it's an incisor and fillings are rarely successful. Now I just have to stop tonguing it.

My not-happy of the day is that Mr Tenderiser's uncle has been diagnosed with meningitis. That's bad enough, of course, although he's not in a serious condition and is going to make a full recovery. But because we visited him in the hospital when he was undiagnosed, we were potential exposed to it and have to be on the look out for symptoms.

At least, thank Flying Spaghetti Monster, his children haven't caught it. Naturally they are being kept away from the hospital until he's fully recovered.

Well, do be careful. Meningitis is perfectly curable with antibiotics if it's caught soon enough, so be on the alert, and don't feel silly reporting to a doctor or hospital if anything doesn't feel right. Nobody's going to blame you for that.

I presume your dentist could file the rough edges on your chip? If not, why not? Hey, it will give you an interesting and unique smile!

So I was in Wal-Mart today and thought I would give my cat a little treat today, so I bought her one of those tiny $.60 cans of Fancy Feast cat food. So what does she do to show her appreciation? She licks off the juices from the food, and spits the meat all over the floor! She does the same thing with cans of tuna. Does anyone else have cats that don't like wet food?

Mine prefers dry food, to be honest. Maybe she just wants dry food?

EDIT: As for my Not-Happy, I'm feeling the pangs of a minor anxiety episode coming. The foreboding sense of dread, the fear of some dark disaster looming in the horizon. Uncertainty. Worry. I know it'll pass, but I don't like it at all. Sometimes I hate having Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

It's not anxiety, it's just me staring at you from outside your window. For God's sake, put some clothes on!

My cat loves wet food, but sometimes he licks the gravy/jelly off and won't eat the meat. I used to have a cat who liked some of the bits in the dried food but not others, so he'd take a mouthful and spit out the bits he didn't want...

He said to just leave it. It's not actually sharp, I just damaged my tongue from running it repeatedly over the new hole. I keep thinking of Fight Club: "Marla was like the scratch on the roof of your mouth that would heal if only you could stop tonguing it." Or something to that effect.

Yeah I bought a certain dry cat food once, and I would find a pile of uneaten green pieces lying on the floor. Cats are the darnedest critters.

I can't for the life of me imagine a cat that doesn't like tuna.

My other cat, Pepper, doesn't. I even bought her a tin of salmon for her birthday and she turned her nose up at it.

Folks, some cats just don't want to have canned food or tuna. Quit being so stereotypical! :p What, do you all give them bowls of milk to drink? If so, quit because too much milk gives them an upset stomach. :D

A lesson I have to learn and re-learn:
If someone I love is diagnosed with an illness or ends up hospitalized, there is nothing I can do. It is better to be diagnosed than to suffer without knowing why and of course, it is better to have treatment no matter what the results.

Well great, my laptop is once again on the fritz. Having trouble loading and is now undergoing Autorepair on itself for the second time in recent months. Everything's been backed up but Christ, really? I've had this thing for two years now, three at the most.

Just my luck. Before it was the Trojans that kept hitting me at the end of every college semester, now it's hardware failure. Apparently it's impossible for me to have a laptop that won't attempt suicide whenever it damned well please.

And I would really like to be able to work on my stories on my laptop, not my iPad. >:[

*sigh* Maybe that does not really qualify,.. but .. I have been forced to live without major writing the last few days while hacking up storyline and explanations. And it's AWFUL!! Not being able to write, only coming up with ideas. Okay, the ideas are good, but that is not what I want to do!! I have tried to satisfy my starving fingers and mind with a whole lot of editing because I just can't live without putting fingers to keyboard anymore, but that is not really satisfying. Or only for a few half-hours. After which the satisfaction goes away and I starve again.
    *sigh*
Please, anyone tell me that I am silly!!!! :(

My neighbor's toy poodle is missing. Went out walking around looking for him, no luck. Poor thing is only 8 pounds, itty bitty. There were 5 of us looking. I hope they find him.

I'm anxious. My social security disability court date has finally been scheduled (this is either the sixth or second time through depending on how you count). After being repeatedly told by my lawyer that my odds of a determination made in my favor go way down if the decision is made over closed-circuit-tv (CCTV) rather than in person, I'm going to have a decision made over CCTV. I have no real choice. Also, my lawyer won't be representing me in front of the judge. Another lawyer from his office will. So, this all makes my anxious. I've been waiting since late 2012 for this hearing. If it doesn't go in my favor, I'll have no money left to live on. I can't work. I've slowly come to accept that I can't even write (a hobby I've been keen on getting into) due to the chronic and severe pain.

Gout flare up, sick. So, so miserable and useless. So overworked. Wondering if this therapist thing is the right career choice. The empathic fatigue thing is happening already and I'm only 5 months into clinical practice, not even done with my degree. Thinking of telling my supervisor I don't want to take suicidal clients anymore. I don't know how to not take my work home with me. Losing sleep, etc. Fucking sucks. Feeling trapped, and work-work is getting really demanding. Doing too many things. Not healthy.

It's 6:30 in the morning and my dogs have been growling and barking at something off and on for an hour. It's probably a mouse but it's very unnerving not to mention it's too early to wake up but hopeless to try to go back to sleep now.
