Since when did it get so difficult to buy foods that aren't low in fat and sugars?? I know what's going on, of course; the government want us all to be healthy little guinny pigs so that we're not such a drain on the NHS, but what these people seem to forget is that these foods TASTE FUCKING AWFUL!!
Not to mention the fact that the fake sweeteners they put in them disagree with some peoples' digestive systems...
I do. Seriously. Although the absence of fat is not something I can rectify. These adverts for low-fat yogurts piss me right off... "All the taste, none of the fat!" All the taste? Yeah, all the taste of fucking wallpaper paste!
That sounds far too much like hard work. Thankfully chocolates/cakes/biscuits (that's cookies to you funny little American people)/sweets are still an area Big Brother hasn't stuck their nose in (unless you include halving their size)
But think of your poor arteries. They need that cholesterol coating to keep them warm during the long hard winter ahead.
Anything deep fried would help your fat cravings. I mean, I'm celebrating two weeks off by going to a chippy (because my bf is allergic to wheat I rarely get a chance, plus there are London prices to consider). My not happy is just realising how much my flat got neglected due to work draining me. I'm getting lots of rest but I've got a lot of work to do...
Cream 1 cup butter with 1 cup Brown Sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar. In a seperate bowl, mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt, 3 cups quick oats, and 2 cups chocolate chips. To the butter mix, add 2 eggs and ~1+ tbsp of vanilla. Mix and start slowly adding your dry ingredients. When together, form into balls and bake at 350°F until done. Sometimes I use 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup Skor bits instead, and adding some instant coffee can give it a decent flavour, too.
The thought of you cutting yourself open and pouring your syrupy blood all over a stack of waffles is a bit disturbing.
Not a regulation as such (although I suspect that's only a matter of time) but there's definitely been a hard push from 'somewhere' to get these healthy foods on the shelves. They used to be an option, which was fine, but now they've pretty much replaced the good stuff in many of the supermarket isles. As I say, though, the strange part is that the biggest sugar and fat area (chocolates, cakes, biscuits) remains unchanged (aside from size reduction).
I know! I feel like I should be dropping a couple of extra Metformin* after just reading that recipe! * common drug for the treatment of diabetes.
I'm going through this very irritating melancholy phase. It has to do with there being less and less sun this time of year and job prospects.
Ugh. Just realized that in order to actually make a combat scene trackable, I had to plot out the actual combat arena, which means I now have to rewrite half of my Chapter 3. I already have to rewrite or at least revise a large portion of Chapters 4 and 5. Probably deleting Chapter 6 or 7, or merging the two after deleting half of both. On top of this because I haven't finished Chapter 14 during my two weeks of leave that are coming to an end in two days, I feel like I've gotten nothing done, going back to 50-70 hour work weeks. On top of that, I only get to have my beard for two more days. Work doesn't let me have facial hair at all, and I just got used to the notion that I can actually grow a real beard now.
