I agree. I took this one really hard, even though I never met the guy.
Tim Brooke-Taylor, gone at 79. I trust he's now playing Mornington Crescent with David Bowie and Alec Guinness.
British motor-racing legend Stirling Moss dead at 90. There were giants in those days.
Actor Brian Dennehy has died at 81 years old.
For some reason the role that I always remember him in was the detective in F/X.
Decent flick. Who was the main guy? The one from Cocktail? Bryan Brown or something? He was popular for a minute.
That's the one. I think it was that film where Bryan Dennehy was having chimichangas at a sidewalk restaurant when his date took a headshot from the back and he though it was just her biting down wrong on the food.
For me he'll always be Tommy Boy's dad.
The sheriff in the first Rambo movie is a close second for me. All I remember of Tommy Boy was the monster truck on Main Street or something?
My favorite Dennehy role was in Silverado. "Welcome ... to heaven."
Renowned mathematician and "Game of Life" inventor, John Conway, died this week of COVID-19
One of the most important and influential thinkers of the past several decades. His loss will be deeply felt.
I have to admit that I just finally dug deep enough to learn he wasn't responsible for this:
Giuseppi Logan past away. The man basically created Free Jazz.
:-( Big influence on me.. sad day.
It gets worse...
Sam Lloyd AKA Ted from Scrubs passed on April 30th.
Richard Penniman, otherwise know as Little Richard died at 87.
Roy horn of Siegfried & Roy cashed it in too. He was 75.
RIP Little Richard.
RIP Jerry Stiller. What an absolute legend. Serenity now!
A wee bit late, but Art Bell passed in Oct. 2019 at 72.
I remember the episode he did years ago when he lowered a microphone into hell, so we could hear the damned scream. I thought it was a comedy bit at the time, it took me a bit to figure out he was just a whack job.
Charles Webb was the most famous writer that most pople have never heard of . To say he was a bit odd is an understatement. He was interesting and lived the way he wanted to .
Can't beleive no one mentioned Ian Holm yet.
