Right well. I'm getting my character ready, and I had a few questions. I'm not sure what to do with the Results of Genetic Alteration, can we keep that blank until we see some examples or something? xD Nevermind at my second question Just looked around.

Hey Rumpole I've got a question. Would Juan see what my character is actually seeing or what he thinks he is seeing?
Hey CDRW, first of all Welcome Aboard! Juan would see what's actually there as his ability intercepts the signals the eye sends to the brain. Any hallucinations wouldn't affect him (which could make things interesting if Allen is seeing something that isn't there while Juan is "using" his eyes).
Well, hello, everyone! I can't tell you how happy I was to log on and see so many new profiles. Especially some pretty creative ideas in the profiles. I have to admit that I agree with a friend's assessment when I showed him the idea for this RPG. The first thing he said was, "Somebody's gonna die." Looking at the cast of characters, I wouldn't be surprised if he's right. As Rumpole said, not a problem. Even if the RP starts before you have computer access you can join later. You simply assume that your character has been there since the start but hasn't been mentioned yet. Still if you can be back (this?) Sunday you'll still be starting with us. Do you still want examples, Bick? I was going to post some just never got around to it. People are coming up with some neat ideas. Activating unknown human genes leaves it pretty open...it has to do with anything a gene could possibly control. I think we're getting enough mind readers...it would be good to get some other ideas on the board. Yes, if you know you can handle more than one character then you can add a second. Your profile looks great, CDRW, I like the idea of an ex gov operative. The only thing that bothered me was "...does not pick fights but if he has to strike he strikes a blow that will end that persons threat to him forever." I get what you mean but your character won't win any given fight by default. Otherwise, looks great! It looks great! It's true to life. Combined with the 'night vision' ability it kinda gives me the shivers. This RP is going to be very interesting, I think.
A note about clothing: I've left whether or not your prisoner is wearing prison garb pretty much up to you guys. They most likely ARE wearing a prison jumpsuit (gray with burgundy stripe) if they have been in the system for any length of time. I'm thinking that a special prisoner such as CDRW's ex-spook might wear a special uniform...perhaps a reversal of the colors...burgundy with a gray stripe. However, if a character was new into the system (just picked up and put on the transport with minimal processing) then they may still be wearing regular clothing. Edit: I just finished updating the cast of characters links list and we have 11 characters. (If I missed adding your character to the list, please let me know) Plenty to start with so I'll post the intro as soon as I can get it edited. I have to say, great idea for the RP. Prisoners stranded...it's great. Someone will most certainly have to die at some point. I think of the ten prisoners, about five or six killed at least one or two people, if not hundreds haha. If there's anything I should change about my character let me know. Oh and I have a couple of questions. Would any of the prisoners be allowed to have some cigarretes on the ship? I know it is very common in prison (I don't actually smoke but smokes are generally the currency of prison). Is there any chance that guards may have snuck some kind of drugs onto the ship in their personal bag (It may make my character a bit more interesting if he gets hooked again)? Or was their baggage searched?
Thanks for the compliment Foxee. I'm looking forward to this. Yeah, I know my guy doesn't automatically win fights, that's just what he attempts to do. That doesn't mean he always has the ability to do it. Edit: And his changes are really going to start messing things up for him.
If we don't get a profile for the second guard by the end of today I'll play that part. It is beginning to look like Smith will need a little backup. So, casting call for the second guard! Anyone want to do it?

Thanks! No kidding. I think that's going to be our RPG motto..."Somebody's gonna die". I'll give it another look but nothing jumped out at me as being off. Yep! I think this is true-to-life. Light 'em up and remember to run out at some point. Hmmm...that's tougher. Okay, we'll say that one of the guards had a cache of drugs in his bag. Remember, this will be very limited as the guard would have only anticipated about a week's travel so you MUST run out. Of course, the drugs may also be found by someone else first or be stolen from you, too...plenty of ideas to go with there. I'd say try it and see how it plays.
